A challenge for people who still believe in the "TOTALITARIAN LEFT"

Their career operates at a much lower level than previously.

The same thing occurs on the right--people whose careers were hurt (if not destroyed) because of their political views: Kathy Griffin, Colin Kaepernick,

The two sides also do this to businesses--Chick Fil-A, Hobby Lobby, Nike, NFL,

Now that I do agree with. If a person or business becomes controversial, then of course they'll have less options. But there are three things to consider there.
First, it's always been like that. Controversy has always helped and hurt a person's career, so what we're seeing isn't a result of the Left being too sensitive because today's kids are all snowflakes or whatever. What we're seeing is just life.
Secondly, if a celebrity loses a deal, apologizes, and then gets welcomed back, that means they weren't cancelled. Sure, there might be some people who will never watch anything they're in again, but they still got forgiven by enough people to continue doing projects. And since not a single celebrity has been unable to come back, it's safe to say that very few people really practice cancelling.
Finally, controversy doesn't just hurt, it also helps. Chick-Fil-A might have lost customers, but they also gained a lot of business from homophobes.

According to many on the Unhinged Right, Liberals have destroyed free speech. Supposedly, they either created a new totalitarian society in America where free speech is illegal or they created Cancel Culture which is totalitarian in nature. The conspiracy kinda goes back and forth, but it's definitely one of the two.

So here is my challenge for the Trumpcucks who believe this. Either list at least five Americans who have been arrested for saying something, or list at least five celebrities who have lost their careers because of Cancel Culture.

To put into perspective how hard this is going to be for you, Mel Gibson still has a career.

There only people talking about hate speech are people from the left. To deny this is to deny reality.

What are you talkin about?

That was the challenge of this thread. Has the Left actually created a totalitarian society like Conservatives say? Or is this just fear over nothing?
Yes, the Left talks about hate speech, they acknowledge that hate speech is wrong, but they're not pushing to make it illegal.

They seem to want to.

Hate speech is anything anybody says that such people don't like.

Because anybody that likes chicken is homophobic?
