you don't want to do that. My experience with the officer corps in my last unit soured me on almost all officers, so given that, I'd say that you were never a Marine at all.
Possibly, the only thing good I experienced as a Marine was the brotherhood of those I served with...........and even that wasn't 100%. So, if you consider someone who blindly follows orders, with implicit trust in their commanders and civilians in charge, the only mark of a true Marine, then you don't really know what a Marine is in the first place, officer.

Trump has been a serious threat to the continuation of the country as we knew it. He has taken over the justice dept and installed Trump sycophants to all positions that he could. Barr has become Trump's Cohen and has opened the dept up to Trump's whims. Trump/McConnell have taken over the justice dept seating hundreds of loyalists, many unqualified , to federal bench seats. He forced 3 choices on the Supremes. Trump has knocked down the separation of branches. Donnie Jr. said one of Trump's first targets if he won was the FBI. He was cleaning them out and installing Trump Univ, grads to all the spots he could.
We are lucky we got him out, but the damage will take a long time to fix , if ever.

BUT... he is a useful idiot, a puppet, a tiny man easily led by much smarter and truly sinister ppl by his ego. His strings are easily jerked and he is easily flattered and courted and so stupid that he appoints advisers and sycophants who are not so stupid but who know how to groom and soothe him.

Someone else is running those guys. Trump is rightfully scared shitless about leaving the WH and heading for a short lifetime of litigation and loss of his pretend fortune... and maybe prison, too. But he is still too stupid, uneducated, and ignorant to come up with all these schemes, lawsuits, etc.

Who is running the show? THAT is who we need to worry about -- and target.
