Air Traffic Controllers Warned US Army Helicopter Ahead Of Crash

Fact Check: Average air traffic controller pay is $140K.

And? In many regions, like D.C., that isn't much money at all. Minimum wage would be around $80K a year in D.C., adjusted for cost of living there. It wouldn't be much in a lot of cities here. I realize it might look like a lot to ideologues who think all proles should work for free, though.

So who was the pilot of the helicopter that ignored the warning?
Don't fall for the false reporting. The MSM is doing everything humanly possible to shift the blame away from the DEI hires who caused the mishap and onto someone else ... to anybody else ... just to make Donald Trump look like he's being rash.

It is completely insufficient to say that someone was "warned". The reason the airport hasn't released any audio of the DEI-hire air traffic controller insisting that the helicopter pilot change course urgently to avoid a collision is that there isn't any such audio, and that puts all the blame on the controller, since that is specifically the controller's job. If there is a potential collision that needs to be avoided, the ATC needs to be all over that shit, not merely suggesting vague things.

Trump is right. It's time to give the boot to every DEI hire in air traffic control.

The helicopter was going on a straight line towards the plane....why?
The ATC was vague and laissez-faire. The ATC did not issue urgent course corrections to avoid the obvious impending collision.

A clear night the plane had bright lights flashing and the tower warned the helicopter and that warning was ignored...why?
It wasn't a warning. All of the MSM is calling it a warning but it wasn't any kind of warning, unless "cryptic" qualifies as a warning.

Evidently you are as stupid as volsrocks, the recording of the helo pilot saying he had a visual is all over the news.
It seems rather apparent that of what the helicopter pilot had a visual, and about what the ATC was discussing, were different things. The ATC was responsible for demanding, in no uncertain terms, that the helicopter pilot change course immediately to avoid collision. The ATC was totally at fault.

Its not clear to me that the controller had the information that the copter was out of its permitted airpace, thats what the "flying dark" is about.....the controller was trusting that the copter was following the rules.

I am at this point putting this almost all on the copter pilot and the Warrant Officer who failed to take command....the pilot was either extremely incompetent or conducting a terrorist attack.....I suspect the WO did not save the day because these days taking remedial action with a woman connected to power.....as this one was.....tends to get one in trouble with superiors.

It's the controllers job to have total situational awareness. If he didn't then he's totally at fault.

It appears that no matter how you slice it, it comes up the ATC is at fault.

that what the "flying dark" is about.....it was trusting that the copter was following the rules.
ATCs control, they don't sit back and trust that everybody will correctly control themselves.

I am at this point putting this almost all on the copter pilot
... because you aren't familiar with the responsibilitites of the ATC.

and the Warrant Officer who failed to take command
No Warrant Officer can take control of the tower.

It might be that under the chain of command the WO had no authority to overrule a much less experienced 0-3....but I tend to doubt it.

Since human error is almost always the cause, it's kind of irrelevant to pretend like the air traffic controller was entirely in control of his work environment and everybody else was completely innocent.

It's an extremely congested area, and like I said, the safety record there is actually amazing. Those flight schedules and pilot hires and the like are not factors the controllers themselves are responsible for. Sooner or later, shit happens when there are a lot of human variables.

Are you saying neither the chopper nor the plane had no radar of their own? Neither saw each other?

The FAA has strict regulations.

"FAA embroiled in lawsuit alleging it turned away 1,000 applicants based on race — that contributed to staffing woes"

DEI is why there is an ATC shortage.

NY Post? "Alleging"?

:dunno:

I have heard at least a dozen flight experts say that the instructions from the controller were not precise.

I believe they are correct.

They did not include the runway that the heliopcopter pilot was asked about.

The helicopter pilot acknowledged a visual on the adjacent runway.

If you ever wander onto an airport and see white lights on each side of you, you are in big trouble.

That happened at the ATL Airport.

Her bigotry towards men could have been a factor.

Not saying it was. I don't want to be accused of "man splaining".

More proof you two fucking morons don't have a clue.

In the cockpit, Pilot-in-Command outweighs rank. Your obvious misogyny also explains why each of you are alone instead of happily married.
