If there's a bright spot in this travesty of democracy and freedom, I think it's opened many people's eyes to the fact that THE LEFT IS EVERYTHING THEY ACCUSED THE RIGHT OF BEING.

This kind of nonsense is not limited to Canada:

Last year, the Australian government euthanized 15 rescue dogs, including ten puppies, at an animal shelter to 'stop the spread' of COVID amongst the staff. (Who were horrified, BTW).

As it stands, all Canadians continue to be held hostage following Trudeau's invoking of the Emergencies Act, with Canadians who happened to support the Convoy financially being threatened with the possible freezing of their bank account. Cats and dogs are just the latest target for a government in shambles.

Not sure how they feel about pets in Canada?

If one of these morons gets arrested, and there is nobody to take the pet, they can pay for 'care' after the 8 days is up.

Surely, these idiots planned to get arrested eventually?

As anyone with experience in pet care or animal shelters will know, "relinquishment" means that ownership of pets will be handed over to animal shelters, where the pets will be housed while awaiting a prospective owner to adopt them or to be euthanized.

As Adopt-a-Pet explains, "When shelters run out of kennel space, sometimes even healthy adoptable pets are "put to sleep". Some shelters simply don't have the manpower to spend time with each animal, so they spend most of their time alone in a small cage. What is true at every shelter is that what happens to the animal is completely out of your hands."
