Clinton was an absolutely horrible candidate and likely the only candidate that could have possibly lost to Trump.
The main reason is because she was such an unattractive overweight woman. That was by far the biggest factor to her losing.
It's hard to imagine the Dems making a worst choice next time but if the were to choose Nancy Pelosi then they will have done it! Pelosi could very well be the smartest politician available for the Dems to choose from, but she's the most likely to be able to lose to Trump.

Try to rethink the Russia/Putin hate. It's causing you to be a victim to the same old shit that's destroying America. All you need to understand about it is that it's no more than a mechanism to destroy Trump. And it's truthful only inasmuch as all countries interfere in other countries politics. America more than any others of course.
The Trump travesty needs to end soon and one of the biggest reasons for that is in order to stop the Russia/Putin hate. It's too dangerous to let it continue much longer and it can only stop when the Dems don't need the tactic any longer.

Hillary was a terrible candidate, with a lot of baggage. But the Democrats went for her instead of Bernie, who was actually more of a Democrat than Hillary was. I was so disgusted by both parties that I went with McMullin. The only wasted votes in that election were those for either Trump or Hillary.
And I didn't call you or your party evil. "Incompetent" pretty much covers it.
I'm favoring the Modern Whigs, but they haven't been able to field very many candidates yet.

No, Trump won because of:
1)Comey's revelation that she was being investigated.
2)A flood of negative posts on social media by an army of Russian bots
3)voter suppression in key EC states.
Not much difference. The right has been the source of constant lies for at least a decade.
pelosi is 78 and is speaker for 2 more years. It will be interesting to see who she grooms for her replacement. There is no Dem front-runner. Biden is too old. Warren is a great choice, I hope she runs. Bernie is too old. Gillibrand and Harris are younger women who could run. Could be a long and ugly debate schedule.

He has made a mockery of his office and alienated most of our closest allies. The lone exception would be the countries he’s personally knee deep in monetary debt to. You know, those that murder journalists and dissidents.
He has done his very best to undermine our most important institutions. From the FBI to the CIA to the judiciary.
He has surrounded himself with crooks, liars and human scum. Including his own family. How many have been indicted, convicted or pleaded guilty?
He is a pathological liar who cannot be trusted with a single word that rolls off his incompetent lips.
The middle class “tax cut” was a sham. The real winners were his 1% buddies and corporations. Tell us about the concomitant deficit on that pissant cut for the middle class.

Unless the people become ready for Ocasio-Cortez, there's no sure bet in my opinion. And it won't really matter anyway because a change from R to D isn't a real change. I think it's too late for Elizabeth Warren because she's lost her good looks. And also because she's not real change either.
Liz certainly is a changer. She is an avowed consumer advocate and battler for the rights of the poor and middle class. That is the opposite of the Repubs and Trump. She is intelligent, well educated and well spoken. She would be a terrific candidate.
