Disagreed that Walmart demands all their products be made in China, but also disagreed with Terry's rant about government regulations. It's simply that the US is a capitalist nation where businesses seek to make the most profit for the least cost. If this means using Asian kids to make Trump's MAGA hats and golden tennis shoes, that's what they'll do.
This is why the Republican rant about "drill, baby, drill" to make "American energy independent" is a big lie. Unless they are proposing that all the oil companies be nationalized, then those same companies will simply sell to the highest bidder regardless of national boundaries.

As I said, MAGATs have no clue about economics and esp. not global economics. A pair of shoes made in America costs more than a pair of shoes made in Vietnam because labor is cheaper there, much cheaper. It has nothing to do with OSHA, the EPA (which was created by Nixon who was not a Democrat), or any of your other boogeymen.
Walmart, Target, etc. do have a choice where they purchase the goods that they sell. They choose to import products made in foreign countries because the profit margin for them is higher than if they bought the same stuff made here. They sell it because you and other Americans want to pay less, even if it's foreign-made, rather than pay more to patronize American companies.
Rather than whining about China and outsourcing of American manufacturing, stop buying shit made elsewhere. Can't find what you want that was made in America? Then blame the legislators who allow American corporations to outsource and American corporations that are allowed to import it.

None of them should be. The federal government should be the final say on these kinds of things. But, the slave owners successfully argued, as you are arguing, that there are states rights to make these kinds of decisions...and by the terms of a document written 250 years ago...that argument has some merit.
