Actually, if felons are denied any rights at all after their sentences or probations expire,
then every sentence becomes in effect a life sentence.
They never again have the opportunity to attain the status of citizen in good standing.

WRONG. A resident of Idaho may sell as many firearms as they wish, so long as the sale occurs to another resident of Idaho (and is not a minor or felon).
The 3 gun limit is for sales across State lines.

Yes. The federal government has no authority to require seat belts, non-shattering glass in automobiles, or any other 'safety law'.

That said, seat belts are the single best method of protecting yourself in an accident. Non-shattering glass is easy to make and people want it in their cars. Such glass is also required by housing codes nationwide for certain windows. State, county, and city governments have authority to implement and enforce such codes, as designated in their constitutions.
