Calling drug addiction, alcohol addiction, homosexual behavior, gambling, etc., a disease, doesn't make it a one...
not any more than speeding, bullying, stealing, etc...can be called a disease.....these are behaviors and urges that can be controlled and in extreme cases might be labeled mental disorders.....(as they were before the PC bullshit become the fad)..... when the urges become uncontrollable

Try again. Only, this time get a reading teacher to show you the intricacies of reading for comprehension. What I said was that sexual behavior which overrides the primary purpose of reproduction is, by scientific definition, abnormal behavior. Sexual behavior is the direct result of the biological necessity of reproduction. That is simple science. Humans (and apparently monkeys) have an added social aspect to sexual behavior. But just because a species uses a variety of sexual behaviors to enhance interpersonal relationships does not mean the PRIMARY purpose has been supplanted. The primary purpose remains reproduction. But when the social behavior is the ONLY sexual behavior, then the behavior is abnormal because the behavior DOES supplant the biological imperative of reproduction. Same can be said for the monkey study - there is zero evidence presented that indicates the social aspect of the presented sexual behaviors has supplanted reproduction.
And again you need a remedial course in reading comprehension. I never said they were NOT born that way. What I said was being "born that way" is not a valid excuse for ACTING on it, unless you want to excuse every other behavior of humans under the same umbrella. As a species we are violent - we are BORN THAT WAY. Does that excuse violent behaviors against others? As a species were are BORN fundamentally polygamous. Should we get rid of all the laws and codes that punish infidelity? The POINT is that while the state of being homosexual - being sexually attracted to the same gender, is an inherited trait. (a claim not fully supported by scientific evidence, but we'll grant the "born that way" claim for now so as not to cloud the issue). BUT, to ENGAGE in homosexual behavior is an ACTION. We are not "born" to take actions - we have intellect which allows us to CHOOSE to not engage in particular behaviors, and, indeed, society EXPECTS us to choose to NOT blindly follow our base "born than way" instincts.
When some mindless twit starts defending tyranny, I will call them on it. Period. If you don't find that "pretty", too fucking bad. YOU, personally, are defending an act of tyranny. And if the situation were reversed, and a teacher in a church funded school were to subject a student to discipline for stating the opinion that their religion is wrong in repressing homosexuality, I would call them tyrants also, as well as anyone who defended their tyranny.
We are SUPPOSED to be a society of free thought and open exchange of ideas. You want it to be a society of political correctness, where your political philosophy are the ones who define what is politically correct, (while hypocritically stating others don't have the right to "draw the line") and anyone who disagrees, especially the religious, need to STFU.
