The triumph of the NFL is a tribute to liberalism .. which kicked open the conservative door that blocked the participation of many of the leagues greatest athletes.

Huh? Apologize for what? I was citing the reuters article to reference the conventional wisdom that the NFL is the sport white males watch, and that my purpose for this was in reference to the deplorable ratio hyperbole I wrote above.

It was part of my argument that the NFL will lose some income from racists

Ratings might be down, but they are hardly bleeding fans. Fantasy football has exploded, and people who might not have paid attention the the game are now involved more than ever.

You're straying from the crux of the issue. Any boycott would have to do with the black listing of Kaepenick, not the issue of rogue cops. The NFL can't directly do anything about the cops. They can support those who are disgusted enough to voice an opinion.

I thought the boycott was about police killing minority people and the anthem was the target because they were protesting the systemic problem and wanted to disrupt the business as usual aspect of honoring the country to protest the failure of said system.

If you wanted to join in his protest, you should be refusing to do your job until the problem is fixed. His protest would require enough people refusing to let the gears turn to affect the bottom line of our rich masters. It would take tens of millions of people to make it happen. Trying to hurt just a few rich team owners won't really help
