Can a person who voted for Trump be a respectable human being?

I agree with your first statement, but the rest of your post is puzzling. Can you point to some specific policies and actions that Trump has taken, other than the tax cut for the wealthy, that have contributed to a better economy?

I also agree with the popularity contest remark, but the abhorrence for Trump and his behaviors go far beyond that. He is a dangerous loose cannon with no concept of morality, history, principles, or ethics. *That* cancels out any good economy, IMO.

3 million more people voted for Hillary…...how could his statement be true? I'm really just curious.

There is a lot of regret, but ppl defend voting for him because of the Supreme Court. It’s how my friends justify their vote for him. They won’t be repeating that mistake this time.

So does this mean they want a bunch of racist right wingers on the supreme court?

I have several former friends and relatives, I'm embarrassed to say, who did vote for the pigfucker Trump;
You seem to hold an unhealthy level of anger not only towards Trump himself, but also towards anyone who chose to vote for him... Why is this?

and the fact that I use the word "former" pretty much answers my own question.
Why would you cut ties with friends and relatives solely because they voted for Trump? That seems like a rather dumb thing to do...

Trump, despite being a chronic liar,
What has he lied about? Why does it upset you so much?

did not disguise who he was in his presidential campaign.
Yup, he was quite the "open book". Presidential Candidates generally aren't open like that...

The vile, disgusting people who voted for him
Not everyone who voted for Trump is "vile" and "disgusting"... Your unhealthy hatred towards Trump has now led you into being a bigot.

got exactly that for which they voted.
Yes, we got someone who actually loves this country and stands behind capitalism. I can't wait to re-elect him in 2020!!!

Consequently, nothing else that could be described as positive about their demeanor or character mitigates the reality of what they are.

They are people of absolutely no intrinsic value whose immediate disappearance would be nothing but a huge boon for the universe.
Continued bigotry from above... Bigotry is a logical fallacy, ya know... This particular bigotry seems to be stemming from your unhealthy hatred towards Trump.

I have expanded my definition for worthless people. I no longer limit that classification to troglodytes who voted for Trump.

I have expanded it to include people who didn't vote for Trump but did not disown their friends and family who did.
Continued bigotry from above...

Inability to unconditionally hate a Trump voter, no matter who it is, indicates a fatal character flaw.
Inversion Fallacy... YOU are the one with the "fatal character flaw". It has led you into fallacious reasoning, as well as anger, hatred, bigotry, etc... I thought that liberals were promoters of "tolerance" and "love" and "love trumps hate" and "co-exist" and the such...???

To tolerate such people socially is to define oneself as an indiscriminate and fundamentally unprincipled person.
You're still projecting your own issues onto others...

Many people believe in redemption for anything. They are dead wrong.
No, they aren't. Anyone can be redeemed... so long as they recognize their need to be redeemed, and accept the redemption offer from their LORD and Savior Jesus Christ...

Having voted for Trump is an irredeemable transgression that identifies one as a person whose birth was a terrible mistake of nature.
I do hope that you will one day realize that it would be best for you to set aside your anger/hatred/bigotry, and to not let such things anger you so much.

YUP and this pattern was obvious BEFORE and DURING dumps campaign. Those who voted for him voted for him intentionally......….It's what they wanted.

It's what I refer to as "Hate Begets Hate"!

These ugly Americans wanted the nastiest, most vicious, racist, attack dog the White House- and they found him in Donald Trump!

When you are looking for hate- when you are asking for it- it will rear it's ugly head!

Says the one that thought a black boy was qualified because of his skin color.

Why do you hate your country so much to have voted for that reason, boy?

Does it matter? We see the result in that the economy is booming the market is up, jobs are being created. So to say certain policies are responsible is moot.

I don't agree. If you are supporting a politician based on "his policies have made the economy better than his predecessor's did," you should be able to point out at least some of those policies. So far I have yet to see a single Trump follower be able to do that. You all (group you, not you personally) yell and get upset when we point out that Trump inherited an economy that was on the rise from Obama. Yet you can't state a single thing that Trump did that made any difference. That's probably because Trump did nothing other than come with an (R) after his name.

My step mother is a lifelong Republican, she has never voted for a Democrat, and even she has reached the conclusion that Trump is a despicable human being who is in the thrall of Putin and is a traitor to the nation.

I tell you who deserves the least respect, IMO - it is not the Trump boot lickers who get on their knees to give Trump's shoes a tongue bath. It is the "I don't really support Trump!"-Trump supporters who claim they do not support Trump, but yet spend every minute they have on message boards defending him, providing cover for him, and deflecting for him. That goes beyond being unprincipled, or even uninformed. It gets right down into the depths of deception and dishonesty.

I have to agree with that, unfortunately. Anyone who is SOOO invested in defending the despicableness that it Trump simply because they voted for him has no sense of honor or ethics.

Do you think they thought he was going to change? dump has been a racist pig his entire existence. They lies and the way he treated President Obama should have been a red flag. So for people to vote for him anyway, there's no excuse. They wanted his agenda which is the racist republican agenda.

And yes, every single dump voter IS brainwashed by the republican establishment.

I doubt if many of them cared about what a racist misogynist crooked POS pig he is..... they hate the other side, and Hillary, enough to swallow whatever pride and principles they had left in order to fuck the rest of us over.

538 to be exact.

Yup... That's the total number of electors. 7 of them defected away from Trump and Clinton, instead choosing to vote for various other people, hence 304-227.

Those twits who speak about Trump "losing the popular vote" apparently do not know how presidents are elected in this country...

I would like for them to show that his deregulation’s spurred the economy. This is the claims they make, that some how allowing mining companies to pollute our streams strengthened the economy.

Do your friends lie to you, if so, that’s a shame, mine are generally honest with me.
Mmmmm, since I'm not a mind reader, I have no way of knowing if someone is lying to me or not.

But believe whatever gets you to sleep at night. IMO, people will lie about who they are voting for to a lot of people, friends, family, pollsters, etc.

I know, right? I know he allowed the dumping of coal ash into streams. However, that has done nothing to increase coal profits or the hiring of new miners. The industry is slowly dying. Dozens of coal-fired plants have closed since 2016. So what else has the idiot deregulated?
