And we KNOW that at least 50% of the warming we've seen in the last 150 years IS DIRECTLY DUE TO HUMAN ACTIVITIES.

All we are asking for is the chance to halt the damage any further. And even then we may already be too late because we had to spend DECADES fighting with non-scientists about SCIENCE.

It has been only about 70 years since we first started to map what the bottom of our own planet's oceans were like.
It has been about 60 years since we formulated an understanding of plate tectonics and about 100 years since the idea first arose.
The van Allen belt was discovered about 75 years ago.
The jet stream was discovered only about 100 years ago.

What we DON'T know would fill a proverbial ocean compared to the little pond of knowledge we have, and yet people are so smug in their assumption that they know something down pat that has only been to some degree studied scientifically for a century.

So, when the same "scientists" that told us that the hole in the ozone layer was caused by CFC's and we got rid of those and the hole is still here and just as big, it's probably not a good idea to just take their word that manmade CO2 is the major, if not only, cause of climate change today.
