We sent it to prison along with millions and millions of Americans .. making us the greatest prison nation on earth and perhaps in human history.
Yes BAC, we are the good guys. I don't care what you can find wrong with this country it is still the best country on earth. You are always going to be able to find things wrong here.........things our govt. does wrong, things oru people do wrong, but that doesn't change the fact that we are still the good guys. We've given more in humanitarian aid and have done more to promote freedom than any nation that ever existed. And the 30% mentioned that still support Bush aren't all bad (some are but they're what I call fringe nuts like BAC, just on the other side of the spectrum) they're just clinging to hope that they weren't misled as badly as they were.
Pretty much. Do we as a government do that or was it a racist group that wasn't sanctioned by the government?Just wondering .. do they do this ..

I would say the latter. Yes, we have bad people here.
True, but individuals found it to be horrific enough to fight a war where more Americans died than in any other war in our history. We may take a while to get there, but we find the right path eventually.

You are being disingenuious now Damo, the Civil war did not start over slavery.
Was it ever enjoined over slavery? The war started over the insistence of the states to have a right to allow slavery.
I wasn't reading the wiki source. The reality is that the slave states felt they would be outnumbered with the addition of more states that did not allow slavery. The war began over that specific "states right" whether you want to recognize it or not. That other items were brought up doesn't change that it was that specific reason. Just as the "WMD" excuse doesn't change the reason we invaded Iraq.
Not so sure I see this in uscitizen specifically in all areas, though he is understandably cynical about some, but I see it in others like BAC and I wonder the same thing.

Not really. It was an honest question. Lately the plan is to draw any analogy possible to some atrocious act by another government. No matter when the action happned, what caused it, or why it may have been necessary.Ohh the old SR, why do you hate Aamerica line, but more verbose....
I am wondering why, of late, you can seem to see nothing good at all? There is plenty of things that are good about the US. Taking a good and turning it to a bad for no reason other than to remain negative is just sad.
