The Force is With Me
I didn't. Bush did, and people who follow orders without think (90% of humanity).
AMERICA did.

Whatever happened to the once so louldy promoted personal responsibility rhetoric ?
Pretty much. Do we as a government do that or was it a racist group that wasn't sanctioned by the government?Just wondering .. do they do this ..
Church bombing in Alabama .. one of MANY.
" One of the dead girls was decapitated. The coroner's office identified the dead as Denise McNair, 11; Carol Robertson, 14; Cynthia Wesley, 14, and Addie Mae Collins, 10.
As the crowd came outside watched the victims being carried out, one youth broke away and tried to touch one of the blanket-covered forms.
"This is my sister," he cried. "My God, she's dead." Police took the hysterical boy away.
Mamie Grier, superintendent of the Sunday School, said when the bomb went off "people began screaming, almost stampeding" to get outside. The wounded walked around in a daze, she said."
With the history of this nation, past and PRESENT, it takes a lot of gall to santimoniously point fingers at other people.

True, but individuals found it to be horrific enough to fight a war where more Americans died than in any other war in our history. We may take a while to get there, but we find the right path eventually.depends on the level of govt we are talking about. That type of stuff was pretty much sanctioned by local and perhaps state governments.
Slavery was once sanctioned by our federal government.

Was it ever enjoined over slavery? The war started over the insistence of the states to have a right to allow slavery. You are being disingenuious now Damo, the Civil war did not start over slavery.
I wasn't reading the wiki source. The reality is that the slave states felt they would be outnumbered with the addition of more states that did not allow slavery. The war began over that specific "states right" whether you want to recognize it or not. That other items were brought up doesn't change that it was that specific reason. Just as the "WMD" excuse doesn't change the reason we invaded Iraq.Again wrong Damo, the war started over money and power. Taxes, tarrifs, and states rights kinds of things.
Check ourt your wicki source a bit.
the slavery card was thrown in later.
It seems that you wish to see nothing good in any action taken by the US. Why is this? Why are you so desperate to deem any action ever taken by the US "evil"?
Yep like we do. The moremoan dude that was just convicted, Waco, etc...
Religious Persecution !
It is just lately for uscit. It's like he has been possessed by Ward Churchill...Not so sure I see this in uscitizen specifically in all areas, though he is understandably cynical about some, but I see it in others like BAC and I wonder the same thing.

Good Lord...you are saying Warren Jeffs was unfairly prosecuted for child rape laws? Albeit the Waco incident was poorly handled the leader was also a child rapist...Do you support this type of action usc?
Not really. It was an honest question. Lately the plan is to draw any analogy possible to some atrocious act by another government. No matter when the action happned, what caused it, or why it may have been necessary.Ohh the old SR, why do you hate Aamerica line, but more verbose....
