Pmp has been sinking the past year. Same for Legion. IMO, it's elderly dementia. Notice they, along with almost all other Trumpers, are all bitter, angry, elderly Euro-American males. It appears most are septuagenarians or older with severe deterioration of their spines.

Only a slumlord lawyer thinks a Supreme Court justice should refuse to recuse on cases that have the potential to involve his wife as either witness or defendant.


Remember you are the guy who claims to be a slumlord lawyer who actually thought a single Supreme Court Justice could decide cases on their own. So embarrassing for you. lol.

It is FACT that over and over you stated and thought that 'Thomas alone could decide SC cases' and you thought you had a gotcha on us asking for proof of any case he decided. In your addled mind you thought you had a great point. Until I pointed out that no single SC Justice decides cases on their own so you were not making any point. It took me explaining it to you and then you probably googling to see if i was right... but as predicted you now have learned something and thus why you are trying to backpedal away and now pretend you never said it.

Thomss's wife is a deep right winger who organizes right-wing rallies. There is no way to sanitize this relationship. At the very least, Thomas has damaged the court in trust and respect. At most, he is part of a right-wing group wanting even more judicial power. The far right has been working to take over the courts. Part of that is the Federalist Society.
I would expect Clarence to know better. He is making the court look very bad and he should resign.

Was Thomas advertised as some moderate, and had a bunch of moderate rulings on the court, until he met Crow and then he did some 180? No to both of those. He may have been a liberal in his youth but lots of people have changed their political viewpoints as they've grown older. He's been a long time conservative and was put on the court as such. (Does it upset you if liberals on the court talk to other liberals? I'm willing to be a large sum of money it doesn't.)

All of this is just whining because you don't like his judicial viewpoints (well and he's a black man who dares to have heterodox views and we know in certain circles that is not allowed).

Thomas was always identified as a conservative. Even the appearance of impropriety tarnishes SCOTUS....which, since 2016, have become extremely tarnished.

If you remember the Bill Clinton Lincoln bedroom scandal and the Clinton Foundation scandal where large donations gave an appearance of impropriety and buying access, then you should agree that the actions of Thomas are no different.

Yup. people do not understand that Judges are supposed to deal with and avoid the preception of conflict and bias.

Crow has spent his adult life building up numerous channels of Right wing influence (think tanks, lobby groups, Pac's, etc) all to seek various right wing goals. That he suddenly became BFF's with Clarence Thomas only AFTER Thomas became SCJ is an undeniable 'PERCEPTION OF BIAS' conflict.


We do not need proof if Crow tried to influence Thomas or not personally and even if we were to believe he bit his tongue and refused to ever discuss any of his politics, the perception issue to others would still remain and be there. Everyone knows Crow's life long work is to push his conservative agenda and to seek to implement laws to support it and thus the perception of bias is unavoidable.

Outright denying what you can read upthread where he was saying "...so what you are saying is that Thomas decided no cases..." because he thought it was a winning point to say 'gotcha, Thomas did not decide any SC cases'.

FLOL, now i pointed it out to him (and he googled to make sure, i am betting) that NO SC justice decides cases by themselves and thus his point has no meaning as a gotcha, he has realized his error and is trying to pretend he never said it.

Sucks for him that posting exists and has been quoted though as his stupidity is immortalized.


No one has to consistently pretend they did not say what we all can see them saying a few posts earlier like PmP. Sheer stupidity.

your post is just stupidity. The issue is that Judges, beyond any other gov't employee, are supposed to avoid conflicts of interest and the perception of bias and influence.

This is not a Thomas thing. That is all judges. They are not supposed to take the most minor of gifts.

The SC has always held itself out that they are such a body of high ethics they do not need the same rules that govern every other judge simply because they can self police. And now you see what happens when you leave an empty ehtical shell of a man (who pretends to be the most ethical) to govern himself.
