Coke goes Full Woke

Affirmative Action hasn't been a thing in over 40 years.

But the right's fixation on it never ends...then when it is addressed, the right never likes the way it is and always -ALWAYS- bails on the conversation.

Just like how you will bail on it in this thread, and just like how so many of your kind have bailed on it before.

stop lying.

how did it used to work then?

Well, now I know I'm getting to you, so I'm going to keep pushing now until you flame out, or abandon the thread.

Affirmative Action isn't the reason you couldn't land the Target job you wanted...you didn't get the job because you showed up to the interview looking like a pile of shit; the references you provided were false and made-up; you lacked the necessary experience and qualifications because you're not employable, and you failed the background check.

So tell me what your race or affirmative action had to do with any of that?

nobody's talking about me.

this is about how aa is racial discrimination and is widely implemented right now.

That employers had to consider -CONSIDER- candidates that weren't white.

That's all AA did...was level the playing field so that all candidates could compete fairly against one another, and that race wasn't the deciding factor in who was chosen to be hired.

The right wing has warped that for 50 years, claiming that unqualified Black candidates got jobs over qualified white candidates. But the part you leave out is that the candidates considered themselves qualified, and a candidate's self-qualification isn't something a hiring manager even fucking considers.

So is the reason you're so fixated on AA because at some point in your life, you lost out on a job you thought you were qualified for?

and they only reason blacks were against slavery is cuz they were black.

So it's all about YOU then...you personally cannot get a job and rather than blame yourself for being such a miserable candidate, you blame others.

Where's the personal responsibility????

it was quota systems and hiring based on race/gender above merit. and it still is that, despite your absurd claims it's not a thing anymore.

do you think you're convincing? im just curious.

I am. I am talking about you, because I'm trying to figure out why you are so fixated on something that didn't affect you in any way, nor would it, has it, or will it.

I just explained to you how it's not.

All AA did was mandate that employers had to CONSIDER candidates of color alongside white candidates.

If the consequence of stacking them against each other means the candidate of color gets hired, that's because that candidate was more qualified for the job than you were.

All AA did was level the playing field for candidates.

For some reason, you take that as offensive and the only way it can be considered offensive is if you think you're entitled to the job. Now why would you think you're entitled to the job? Most probably because of the color of your skin, and you're a racist shitbag.

you failed in all you asserted here, moron.

No, it wasn't. Not at all. All it did was mandate that employers had to consider everyone for the job, and had to seek out those applicants.

Now, if those applicants were stacked against the white applicants and the applicants of color were hired, that was simply because they were more qualified.

The result of AA was increased hiring of candidates of color, and that's because their qualifications were stacked against the qualifications of white candidates, and the white candidates' qualifications didn't match up.

No one lost out on a job because they're white.

They lost out on a job because they had to compete in a tighter labor market against other, better candidates with more experience, better work ethics, and more qualifications.

That's all.

no. wrong. you're lying. more qualified candidates are routinely passed over to make quota. it's racial and gender discrimination. no doubt about it. and it's ongoing....

Your inherent laziness is not a qualification for a job.

So thanks to AA, you have to raise your game to make yourself more employable because thanks to AA, you have to compete in a larger labor market where your skills, experience, and training becomes diluted when weighed against more qualified candidates.

Something tells me you're not a "raise my game" kind of person. Something tells me you're an entitled person who expects everything to be handed to you because of how arrogant you are.

You didn't bother to say how, didn't bother to make a counter-argument, didn't bother with any of that.

So...that lack of effort is exactly why you were passed over for that job you applied for that one time...
