Three is less than nine. Therefore vaccines slow the spread. If enough people are vaccinated, and additional mitigation is used, the R0 will quickly drop below 1.

No. Delta first appeared in the news in mid-November of 2020. Within a single week, it was being described as a worldwide spread, with thousands infected. All of this accompanied by articles stating it wasn't safe to meet with your family for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Both Delta and Omicron are claimed to be variants of a variant, which isn't possible.

Both are utterly fiction.
