Defend This

[emoji23] Where have you been? After the school shootings, they only made it easier to purchase arms. What restrictions are you dreaming up?
Starting with the National Firearms Act of 1934. Then there was the Gun Control Act of 1968. Then the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990. None of them have done what they were supposed to do, yet all you can say is to do more of what never worked in the past. Practically a textbook example of Einstein's definition of insanity.

Getting rid of guns completely isn't even practical or really possible. Attempts at something like that would start a war. Some people rely on guns for feeding their families. Do you expect the police to stop crime with a nightstick?

The police would have guns, maybe hunters with very limited ammo.
All the rest have got to go!

No country other than this one murders so many people.
Time to take all the guns!
Complete BS and ignorance. For one example, Brazil, with about 2/3 our population and very restrictive gun laws, normally has about twice as many homicides in a year as we do. Japan, with some of the most restrictive gun laws in the world and very few guns in civilian hands, has had years where their suicide rate has exceeded our combined homicide and suicide rates. The U.S. has one of the lowest homicide rates in the Americas and is below the world average.

In context, it's precisely those guns made for soldiers that are explicitly protected by the 2nd Amendment. And "access" isn't the issue that you imagine it to be. All legal gun dealers are licensed by the ATF. And every sale by a licensed dealer has to go through the NICS background check system.

No those types aren't, they didn't even exist back then. You're also already restricted from those types of arms mostly. Many modeled after them are available though. The weapons of soldiers in the old days were basic arms of everyone, soldier and civilian alike. The equivalent would be like everyone having the right to a navy sail vessel back in the day. Nothing else back then could fire off an excessive heavy fire that is comparable besides that. The 2nd wasn't made to create one-man guerilla armies that are more dangerous to the civilians then what you think you're protecting them from.

Japan suicide rate has nothing to do with all this.
The gun era is coming to an end!

Back then civilians could own field artillery and naval warships. What you are saying is that the 1st Amendment doesn't protect your use of a computer and the internet because neither existed back then. Most of your post is pure paranoia. What "excessive heavy fire" comparable to a naval warship?

American's are brain washed that they need all these guns!
They don't ,time for that all to end!
Head in a new direction!
Or perhaps it's time to return to an old direction that seemed to work better. Put universal gun safety education in all public schools. Follow that up with actual firearms training. Return to the Founders' vision of a nation where all citizens are familiar with firearms, thus making them suitable for service in a well regulated militia. That's what the 2nd Amendment is really about.

The only places where strict gun control has worked have been places that didn't have a problem with guns in the first place. If they did have problems with guns, then imposing strict gun control has only made things worse.

That's because they didn't confiscate the guns!
This new world order will change everything for the better.

What has restricted the purchase of guns in a realistic sense? Preventing sales from sketchy sources, or imposed taxes doesn't cut it. They do that with a shitload of things under the grouping of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives. It never restricted or lessened guns or purchasing much at all. The last one is just asinine to bring up. It doesn't restrict owning a gun at all. The people who don't want guns in certain areas have rights to you know. A gun in a holy place would be sinful and a disgrace.

Your ideas will only make things worse. Nothing that you have in mind has ever made things better. We need to look for root causes. In particular, the way we raise our children.

Small potatoes,we need a new direction, where citizens can walk the streets again.
The vast majority of guns are owned by drug dealers and gangsters!

What Japan's suicide rate demonstrates is that strict gun control has no effect on human behavior. And that's where the problem lies. If we could get rid of all of the guns, we'd still have the behavior to deal with. And just as many or more people would die, as guns aren't the only way to kill people. But if we could do something about the behavior, then the guns wouldn't matter.

Guns are the quickest easiest way to kill a lot of people fast.
Lets see if a guy can walk into Wal-Mart and kill a mob, with just his dick in his hand!
