Defend This

You would think that such an advocate for children and animals would show us peons how to help, instead of delivering a passive-aggressive scolding.

You would. I've also noticed that the shrew pretends to be a catering/cooking expert, but when more closely questioned and asked for advice, retreats into the well-yeah-but-YOU-wouldn't..... schtick. See The General Store for details. lol

Past your bedtime?

Trolls are often lurkers of the after hours. Here's a shortlist of the late hour crew here that I've seen. Yurt, Grind, USfreedom911, Dark Soul, Teflon, RB 60, the newbie trolls that include Vanderdoof. Decide who you consider trolls.

Well, he is right. I only remember one major school shooting during the Clinton years. And that one wasn't a random nut shooting a place up. It was a student full of hatred for schoolmates. I don't remember but I think he committed suicide as well. I'd rather not look into such terrible things to make sure. It was such an unheard-of occurrence.

W didn't have too many to tend to either in the beginning. The whole country was focused on war. I wouldn't doubt that the aftershocks of war were a starting factor as well. Division, hate, war, gun access, lobbying, and propaganda all contributed to this continued tragedy the right brushes off. In fact, when the idea something had to be done gun restriction only seemed to lessen and these shooting slowly increased. Now they are commonplace.

Actually, it appears that the more restrictions, the more mass shootings. Disarming the victims doesn't seem to be a working strategy.

Then we need to actually determine what the root causes are, instead of obsessing about guns.

It's the access more then the guns themselves. Of course, some guns are made for soldiers, not civilians. What guns are designed for should decide it's availability to the public.

 Where have you been? After the school shootings, they only made it easier to purchase arms. What restrictions are you dreaming up?

That's not a derp, this is a derp.

In context, it's precisely those guns made for soldiers that are explicitly protected by the 2nd Amendment. And "access" isn't the issue that you imagine it to be. All legal gun dealers are licensed by the ATF. And every sale by a licensed dealer has to go through the NICS background check system.

No country other than this one murders so many people.
Time to take all the guns!

Getting rid of guns completely isn't even practical or really possible. Attempts at something like that would start a war. Some people rely on guns for feeding their families. Do you expect the police to stop crime with a nightstick?
