democrats don't understand what fascism is

What’s your point? Are you a little snowflake that has your feelings hurt? You supported an insurrection. Seems like a lot worse than name calling don’t you think? I do.

lol....I think its pretty obvious, both by the title, the OP and the incredibly ignorant statement of representative Frost..........the point is, Demmycrats have no concept of what fascism is........one thing it certainly is NOT is promoting individual freedom over that of the state.......

Fascism is an authoritarian and nationalistic RiGHt WING system of government and social organization.

and yet, oddly, every fascist government we've ever seen in history was born out of a socialist movement........

" This is no longer our state. It has been occupied by fascist forces. "

https://www.haaretz.com/opinion/202...t-regime/00000185-07b8-d11b-a1ff-1ffcb7fc0000

In order to understand what fascism is- and it's clear that many don't- consider the current situation in Israel- already an apartheid state - wherein moderates believe that their state has turned to fascism.

Here's a definition of fascism;
"Fascism may be defined as a form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation, or victim-hood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy, and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion." (Anatomy of Fascism, p 218

This definition accurately describes the components of the January 6th debacle , does it not ? Fascistic Americans, obsessed with ' community decline, humiliation, and victim-hood ' came close to seizing power by violence.
It also accurately describes the situation in Israel- partners in Trumpism- wherein the ' mass-based party of committed nationalist militants ' have been propelled into power by a despot, Netanyahu, whose criminal activities reflect those of Trump.
Isn't it obvious that the current Israeli fanaticism is pursuing ' goals of internal cleansing and external expansion ' , a hallmark of the fascist mindset ? Isn't it also obvious that fascism can be identified by the behavior of its adherents and so the charge of ' fascists ' can be accurately applied ?

Democratic Rep. Maxwell Frost says Florida's proposed permitless carry law is 'fascism'

Freshman Rep. Maxwell Frost, D-Fla., said that Constitutional carry is "fascism," as Florida move towards allowing citizens to carry a firearm with fewer restrictions.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/d...d-permitless-carry-law-is-fascism/ar-AA17fSLm

Fascism is when you have a leader who loses an election and tries to steal the presidency anyway. Trump is a fascist and those who are fucked in the head enough to think he won are fascists. The ones who think the guy who got the most votes should be president are not.

Whether or not you can carry a firearm hasn't a fucking thing to do with fascism.

Well, for convivence sake, lets go with Webster's definition:

1: a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control
early instances of army fascism and brutality

Have no clue, nor care, who the freshman Congressman is, but he sees it as DeSantis "inappropriately abusing his power" motivated by "messaging, so he can run for president," significant since the Congressman views the consequences of DeSantis actions could result in more violence in his black community, a community DeSantis is suppose to represent, ergo, an act of a dictatorial leader

A stretch, but applicable if talking to people in that district

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fascism

DeSantis certainly has that fascist flavor. Burning books and thinking he should be controlling what we teach our grammer school children or how private business should be run is most definately what fascists do.

Fourteen Points of Fascism

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of \u201cneed.\u201d The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

4. Supremacy of the Military
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

5. Rampant Sexism
The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.

6. Controlled Mass Media
Sometimes the media are directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media are indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

7. Obsession with National Security
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

8. Religion and Government are Intertwined
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.

9. Corporate Power is Protected
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

10. Labor Power is Suppressed
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.

11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free _expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.

12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations

13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

14. Fraudulent Elections
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

excellent.....thanks for confirming the fascism of the demmycrats....

No country provides free healthcare. They simply tax everyone and set up a system where all people get complete healthcare. The system is cheaper than ours and better.
you are spot on, except for the cheaper and better part......I believe Nazi Germany had the health care system you approve of......they cut costs by eliminating the need to provide health care for Jews, blacks and the Poles.......

Trump isn't a fascist leader- he is a mere pawn of fascists . They have used him to promote their fascist agendas.

Trump is a pin-up for fascism without understanding what it is himself.

Reversal fallacy.

Compositional error fallacy. Minimum wage laws are from government, dude. It is price controls. Price controls never work.

Redefinition fallacy (corporation<->government).

nope.

I am correct.

it's not a fallacy if it's true.

reality actually can be opposite to how it's commonly portrayed.

stop-and-think-it-sort-of-makes-you-stop-and-25723200.png

If you're arguing that fascist governments were born from political movements formed in reaction against socialist movements that's partly true and I suppose may help some to understand why fascism is right wing. In both Italy and Germany the economies were racked by the Depression which gave rise to similar competing social movements in the United States, but here unlike there a democratic, free enterprise system survived.

We are the only industrialized country without some form of single payer. And our outcomes suck in comparison to everyone else.

Utter bullshit. I recently had an MRI that cost over $2000, it took all of about 10 minutes. My insurance company decided they would deny the cost and they have another company they hire to deal with the fighting. I spoke with one of their offices that transferred me to two different numbers both of which were not capable of answering my questions. I spoke with Chicago and Atlanta without much help. Now an insurance company and 2 doctors offices and two other nationwide companies were involved. If the federal govt ran that diagnostic center and owned that MRI they could have conducted that test for $50.00 and made a profit. Practically every one of the biggest and most expensive buildings in every one of our major cities is owned by an insurance company. Where the fuck do you think they got all their money? Cutting health insurance out of the picture and hiring doctors to run what doctors should be running would save this country a fucking fortune.

A simple appendectomy in the USA costs about $33,000. It's about $600 in France, $3,500 in Germany and $2,500 in Spain. The reason is we have a monsterous beaurocracy here that must be paid for in addition to hospitals having to charge more to make up for all those patients who don't have a dime or insurance to cover the cost. Get rid of health insurance, get rid of the beaurocracy, and get rid of the majority of malpractice cases and the cost of our healthcare would not only drop radically but be run by those who should be running it and not assholes behind desks worrying about the bottom line. My friend needed surgery so he went to Costa Rica for a month, had the surgery there and stayed in an oceanfront place sitting by the pool enjoying himself. The cost of the entire month was half of just what the surgery would have cost in the USA.

Fascism is an authoritarian and nationalistic RiGHt WING system of government and social organization.
It was first used in the totalitarian RIGHT WING nationalistic regime of Mussolini. Fascism tends to include a supremacy belief of one national or ethnic group, a contempt for democracy , obedience to a strong leader and a strong demagogic approach.
Rightys are frequently trying to redefine who they are. You fool very few. This is an old tactic The Repubs have employed for a few decades. You have to own the Fascism of Trump and the subservience of his followers.

wrong.

it's the union of state and corporate power.

you progtards call it "private / public partnership" or "stakeholder capitalism".

Libertarians call it "free trade".
