We are currently ranked 39th in the world when it comes to healthcare. It is fucking amazing and this monsterous problem would be solved practically overnight if citizens here just quit voting for fucking republicans.

My insurance company decided they would deny the cost and they have another company they hire to deal with the fighting. Now an insurance company and 2 doctors offices and two other nationwide companies were involved. A simple appendectomy in the USA costs about $33,000. It's about $600 in France, $3,500 in Germany and $2,500 in Spain. The reason is we have a monsterous beaurocracy here that must be paid for in addition to hospitals having to charge more to make up for all those patients who don't have a dime or insurance to cover the cost. Get rid of health insurance, get rid of the beaurocracy, and get rid of the majority of malpractice cases and the cost of our healthcare would not only drop radically but be run by those who should be running it and not assholes behind desks worrying about the bottom line. My friend needed surgery so he went to Costa Rica for a month, had the surgery there and stayed in an oceanfront place sitting by the pool enjoying himself. The cost of the entire month was half of just what the surgery would have cost in the USA.

So true. I was having this conversation the other day with my wife. She was raised in a household full of trumpets in Southern Georgia. She’s gotten a lot more informed in the past few years and gets frustrated because all of these solutions are so easy. We were specifically talking about minimum wage but we’ve had the same discussion about abortion, wealth, lgbtq rights, voting rights etc. She keeps asking why we can’t fix it. I’ve come to the conclusion that the country is full of lazy, entitled and ignorant people who feel better blaming someone else for their sloth and stupidity. We are a wealthy white couple but I’m convinced I care more about the plight of others than they do themselves. Facebook tic tic YouTube and Fox News are more important. Republicans are great for me personally at least in the short run. But I despise what that party has become. A reflection of the attitude I just mentioned.

Healthcare is easy if people care about the overall health of the country and their own health. We don’t. Medicare for all and a better exercise and diet attitude and problem solved. How sad we continue to refuse easy solutions.

the problem is big health insurance and big pharma having a strangle hold over medical care.

they conspire in the media to encourage a high carb, low fat diet to get the whole population on insulin over time.

oh, and the death jab kill shot is contrary to optimal health.

are the one biggest enabler of big pharma, health insurance, and every aspect of the health care industry abuse existent today.

single payer would still keep these companies as the vendors of the services.
they would just get a 100% monopoly and stop caring about quality and murder everyone, and still be trillionaires.

You speak of public funding for private services. That's single payer as it's being discussed today.

A national health service, however, could provide public services, removing all aspects of health care from the private sector.

the key is too eliminate insurance companies, the middle man that separates the paying consumer from the provider and jacks up prices based on fear and corruption.

insurance companies only serve to cronify the market in healthcare.

single payer is just allowing the pharma-medical complex cartel to operate under a state seal, and be granted a state backed monopoly. pure fascism.
