Democrats Smoke and Mirrors – They wont stop the war

There is NO defense of democrats on this horror. NONE.

I don't want to alienate my friends on the left but any and every excuse made for the democrats is exactly why this nation is in the chaos it is.

Any and every excuse made for the democrats is exactly why the American people have no control of our own government.

Any and every excuse made for the democrats is exactly why the republicans and the far right can run roughshod over the electoral process.

Any and every excuse made for the democrats is exactly why the world cannot look to the American people to stop the madness that makes this nation the most dangerous nation on the planet.

This is exactly why I am not a democrat, not just because of the cowardice and pathetic weakness of its politicians, but also because of the cowardice of democratic voters. There is no opposition party in America because there aren't enough Americans to force one into existence.

Every excuse for democratic capitulation to evil puts more Iraqi blood on the hands of those making those excuses. Not only do these enablers have the blood of Iraqis on their hands, they have the blood of our own brave men and women in uniform on their hands as well.

You'll have to pardon my anger and absolute disgust on this but I have a daughter stuck in Hell in Iraq and I am sick to fucking death of listening to these weak ass motherfucking asinine excuses from the left.

I don't spend much time talking about Bush and republicans or what's known about the evil they do. But how and why can those of us on the left have the goddman nerve to chastize and constantly criticize Bush when we support the motherfuckers who won't do a goddamn thing about his evil?

What fucking moral authority do we possess when we don't have the fucking courage to face our own weakness and utter lack of principles?

NEWSFLASH: People are dying everyday in Iraq and to suggest that there is any goddamn reasonable excuse what so fucking ever that we cannot get our troops out of Iraq by 2013 is a demonstration that the left is just a bunch of pussies and cowards who do not have the moral fortitude to stand before the mirror our fucking selves.

I do not mean this as a personal attack on anyone, especially my friends here .. but FUCK .. stop making excuses for these bastards and spend more time sending a message to the Democratic Party of disgust of their actions.

Threaten to cutoff their lifeblood of money .. start to talk of support for Richardson, Kucinich, or fucking Mickey Mouse, or anyone who talks with a shred of fucking sense about the greatest disaster in American history.

There is no mystery why even a racist and delusionary like Ron Paul has support.

Great post BAC! I'm glad people are finally starting to see what I've been saying for the last five years. I've had many arguments on here and FP.com with Dems giving their politicians a pass on Iraq cause they 'weren't as bad as Republicans'. You don't know how aggravated I got with them as they spouted anti-war shit left and right and tryed to place 100% blame on Bush. Bush 'fooled' them. Well he didn't fuckin' fool me, if you didn't see the marketing scheme his cronies were trying to throw at us, and felt you could risk giving up your responsibility to vote on sending bombs and troops over to Iraq because you 'trusted' Bush, then you're an idiot and deserve to be voted out of office. If you did it a second time, you deserve to be thrown behind bars for treason, you don't fuck this country like that.

passionate post and my point exactly. The people spoke in 2006. Americans gave the democrat control of congress based on them ending the war. Yet they say they cant and it’s the republicans fault. So we will give control of the Whitehouse to them in 2008.. And personally I don’t think Hillary or who ever winds up winning will leave iraq.. They will blame the republicans why they cant.

THIS is exactly why the Democrats cant get much done. The Republicans and the Right ENTER a DISCAPABLE war for INVALID REASONS, and they blame the DEMOCRATS for not stoping it! REMEMBER DEMOCRATS WERE THE MINORITY WHEN THIS STARTED!

It is VERY difficult to end a war without suffering lasting damage to your political party, especally when you have people ready to JUMP on them for surrendering, or not doing enough quick enough. Clearly the Democrats are not doing what we want them to do, and we can blame them for that... BUT come on let the real serious blame rest where it should, with the armchair warriors in the REpublican party! With those who elected Bush the second time! With those who still support the Republican all of whome currently running for president are supporting keeping the troops in IRAQ! The Republicans get an F for the stance on the war, while at least the Democrats deserve a C-. Why is everyone jumping on the C- more than the F?

The Democrats seem to be getting more grief from voters for not being able to clean up the mess than the Republicans got for creating the mess in the first place!

If we vote all the Democrats who "let" this happen out of office we would end up with only those who "encouraged" it left, that would be worse! If we are going to get rid of those responsable lets start with Bush, then the REPUBLICANS, THEN the LIEBERMANS and finally the CLINTONS and EDWARDS's....

What amazes me is no matter what these dumbshits in congress do, it's ok as long as they aren't as bad as the other dumbshits. I would hope that when someone has some say in how your country is run, you'd be looking for the A+ to B+ range and vote out anyone who doesn't achieve that.

Hillary Clinton voted to enable bush to Iraq Iran yesterday, end of story, no excuses.

Even if I bought every excuse about why they can't end this one, and Jarod, I know how hard it is. I know, when people who voted for George W BUSH TWICE, TWICE, dare to lecture anybody on this war, and the democrats, it's hard stuff. And knowing that the shits are giggling over it, because they are on their knees praying every night that the dems cut off funding, and a succesfull campaign to portray them as weak on defense can be pinned on them and enable Republican rule.

But even if I bought all of that, why are so many democrats allowing the Iranian war to go forward???? That is where I walk away,. and I don't give a shit how many immoral fuckers in the Republican party get hardons over it

Every single conservative on this board who is wiggling around in their seats with joy over the democrats not ening this war, and demanding they be DENOUNCED!! will joyfully pull the lever for any war mongering murderer the repubs put up.

I know it. YOu know it. They know it. So forget about anyone ever holding the Republicans responsible for any of this. But someone has to stop the next war, and it ain't gonna be the Republican voters who do it.

I think we do need to cut off funding, I have no ties to the Republican party and have no desire to see them take more power than the Dems. We have to end this war, and I don't care what political party benefits or loses, this ain't about political points, this is about my country and my fellow americans fighting and dieing in a war for no other reason than the profiteering of a few rich politicians sitting in Congress and the White House.

I throw anyone in who voted for George W bush no matter what they claim they are today. If you didn't vote for bush, then I don't mean you. It's not about labels, either labels you give yourself, or labels others give you. Did you vote for george w bush? I know you didn't because you're too young to have. But others did, and I won't be lectured to by them.
