Dems did themselves in!

Because Sanders is not a socialist, thus, comparing him to Clinton is comparing apples to apples. Don't be confused by the labels.

While Sanders talks a lot about wasteful military spending, he legislates quite differently.

Bernie Sanders Voting Record Antithetical To His Purported Anti-War Stance
In spite of claims of being antiwar, his “hawkish” support of Clinton’s military actions in the 1999 Kosovo War caused one of his advisers to quit. When antiwar activists occupied Sanders’ office in 1999 because of that support of Clinton’s war policies, he had them arrested.

What I learned about Bernie Sanders
http://socialistworker.org/2015/06/01/what-i-learned-about-bernie-sanders

If you take the time to read the WSW articles I posted on Sanders, you'd get a better feel on why socialists don't really care for him.

There is much that is decidedly fake about Bernie Sanders.

Fair enough. I was thinking someone who labels himself a socialist and at least presented a platform where some issues are further to the left than almost any other main stream candidate has gone would still have appeal but I get it

Why Socialists Can’t Wait for Bernie to Lose

There is a real socialist movement underway in this country that doesn't need fake heroes to keep it moving.

Sanders is a socialist, in the modern sense of the word he is a socialist.
redistribution of wealth, government run health care, conversation over

just because some confused old man on a forum cites a vote in congress regarding his support for helping a people being subjected to genocide from 20 years ago to convince you he isn't.

Think for yourself man, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck

Stein looks to be an active player..Interesting article BAC
Stein also sees hope for increased unity in a new coalition called LeftElect, which formed last year to improve coordination between socialist parties and other independent leftist organizations, in order to bolster electoral prospects at all levels of government.

I've listened to many Greens, leftists, socialists, and independents in discussions about a unity party .. including a long conversation with Jill Stein. At one time I believed such a collaboration made a lot of sense.

I don't believe that anymore.

The only collaboration that makes sense in this political environment is one made with the Democratic Party. There are only two real political parties in this country .. all else is an illusion.

Speaking of wanting to give free things Kamela Harris just tweeted she will be co-sponsoring Medicare for All legislation. The person who re-tweeted it wrote is this another McGovern vs. Nixon?

It started with HMO's, and now the vaunted "middle class" is looking down the barrel of the total privatization gun of conservative deregulation.

When the wind whistles up enough shorts, then maybe universal or single payer healthcare won't seem so out of reach to the average voter.

It worked for trump. All elections are rife with such promises. But Bernie was indeed over the top.

Not as bad as trump's idiotic claims of 'much better coverage, and a fraction of the price'...'It will be so easy'.

It's only "over the top" when there are not enough people screwed by the system who have never faced that hardship before....THEN it's "hmmm, that seems plausible".

Have and have nots can more accurately be defined as the workers and parasites....

Bernies promises weren't achievable because they are realistically impossible....and stupid giveaways that cannot
and will never 'pay' for themselves....
The 'issue' is overpaid college employees, outrageous pensions and overly generous benefits....
just as it is with most if not all government employees with wages and benefits that are unheard of in
the private sector.....

BIOYA! In the last 30 years the gross excesses of the private sector in terms of CEO/upper management salaries, retirement packages, etc., have all been documented....WHILE THE SAME COMPANIES INITIATED MASS LAYOFFS, OUTSOURCING AND RELOCATION (with generous assist from gov't tax breaks, loop holes, etc.). THEN they claim record profits for owners and shareholders.

Then they get little ticks like you to carry their water and sing their praises....as your tax rate goes up, your food prices, utilities, etc., and your COLA remains nearly flat. Grow up and deal, will ya please?

Trump knew he was talking to idiots who didn't care if his promises were real or not. They just wanted the bloody red meat he was dispensing.

Sanders knew his starry-eyed, idealistic, inexperienced young supporters believed every word he said.

He took advantage of them.

Typical DINO....parroting the SOS heard on Fox Noise.

Start with the 'what have you got lose' bullshit from Trump. Now everyone has found out what we have to lose.'

Everyone knows about Clinton's crime bill. His cover was blown long ago. That being said, Hillary Clinton, though not perfect, was certainly closer to perfect than that thing called Trump.

Additionally, she listened to black concerns about the terrorism of police. She promised to address it .. and she would have been held to that promise. If she wanted to be re-elected, she'd have to act on that promise .. and for many of us, police terrorism was on the top of the list.

Additionally, her hawkish ways are well-known, and she knew she would have to govern with a microscope on her foreign policy. Again, she was light years ahead of the perfumed orange assclown now in office.

Blacks had no connection to Sanders, and his answers to black concerns demonstrated he had no connection to us.

The Clintons have thrown us bones for years while cementing their wink & nod support of the status quo on many levels. The black political class had their shot with Dean and Nader... and even Bernie with all his flaws. Hillary's duplicitous record was NOT strong enough to carry against any GOP candidate, as we've just witnessed.

CEO's pay IS the private sector....their not paid with tax money that people are FORCED to pay.....
Got a complaint, don't buy their stock and that CEO's won't cost you anything....Don't like a CEO's pay, don't buy their company's products.....
Don't like a football or basketball player getting millions a year to play, don't go to their games
Don't like the cost of Eldorados, buy a Chevy.....
etc.....

Here stupid, a bit of reality to shake your corporate wet dreams:

How Big Business Cashed In On Corporate Welfare In 2016

Welfare is alive, well, and thriving in corporate America.

Free college for everyone, with absolutely no hope of using whichever degree they achieve, is just plain silly. If he suggested funding for trade schools as well, or instead, that would make more sense. Free tuition is a gross waste of money, especially given that many wouldn't even benefit from a 4 year vacation.

Good points. That does not mean I like you, just good points lol!
