Dems did themselves in!

Always interesting to go through these scenarios of 'what if'. What if Perot had dropped out... would Bush have beaten Clinton? if so, the economy would have continued improving and most likely the Reps would have kept control of the WH in 1996 as well. Obviously it is debatable who Perot drew from the most... Bush or Clinton. I tend to think Bush would have won in a head to head with Clinton. But who knows...

I think Nader clearly cost Gore, because of how razor-thin FL was. Bush/Clinton is a tougher call - that just felt like a change election through & through. Rare that any party goes for more than 3 terms.

I agree regarding Nader. Bush vs. Clinton would have been interesting to see heads up. But it is what it is. I think 2016 was an anti establishment election. Sanders was enough maverick/independent that he would have stood a much better chance against Trump. I think he would have done what Hillary could not... excite the Dem base. She lost because Dems stayed home.

Hillary could have stayed out of the race completely. She was already divisive, she was already not trusted, she had already shown she didn't have the charisma... yet she ran anyway. The DNC annointed her. Sanders would have beaten Trump. Hillary is the one that should have bowed out for the sake of the country. But she and the DNC decided it was 'her turn'.

Hillary Clinton was the most qualified candidate to do the job of being President.

Period.

Her experience in govt beat Sanders and Trump together with thousands of miles to spare.

Most of the shit that was thrown at her was manufactured by the right and harped on by the media who just wanted the story.

We not only lost a real opportunity for a great President, but what we got in her place, is a pile of turds who is not only utterly worthless, but highly dangerous as well.

It's really the ultimate irony of '16. Hillary was seen as the "electable" candidate. The establishment saw Bernie as an unelectable joke in the beginning, and then as a real nuisance and finally as a threat. But they always saw him as unelectable.

And they couldn't have been more wrong. I'm not sure if Bernie would have won, but it would have been a better campaign, and a much more clear differentiation of ideas, and he would have had a better chance than Hillary overall, imo.

Democrats had better heed that lesson. I still love the energy the Bernie's campaign generated - such a contrast to the "guess I'll vote for her" lameness on the Hillary side. I think he inspired a lot of the left's future leaders.

Anyone who thinks that Sanders should run again in 2020 .. think again.

Her experience was far more than Obama's yet she lost to him. How did that happen?

No, she was not. She has been a spectacular bust at everything she has done.

Sanders was immaterial. He lost, Hillary won. Hillary then should have pummeled the clown. She didn't. It is what it is. Nothing sanders did or didn't do altered the result.
Sanders could never have defeated dump the chump. Trump triggered racists, white rural Jesusland warfare class resenters plus joe sixpack Limbaugh misguided nincompoops outnumber activist socialists in the USA.

Why is this a current event? It's not even instant replay, it's ancient history.

We need an 'ancient history' forum, badly.

I love that the rabid lefties insist that Hillary was "The most qualified".

In the words of Steve Perry: "Don't stop believin'"

Turning the economy like the 2nd worst failed to do.
Lincoln is hands down the worst for killing 600k plus poo people for politics.

Lincoln is an American God compared to the disaster that is the orange clown. :0)

The traitorous South should have been defeated .. and was.

If Sanders hadn't run in the primaries, we wouldn't have this disgrace in the WH right now because a lot of the negativity that his campaign generated towards Clinton would not have came about.

So you can thank him for giving us President Trump.

I was telling the BernBots it was going to happen all last summer.

To anyone who supported Sanders or voted for some other candidate other than HRC, next time you pass a mirror, stop, look at your reflection and thank yourself for helping give us President Trump.

this is the largest pile of delusional bullshit i've seen a libtard spout yet, concerning the dem primarys.

i'm literally rolling in laughter right now

This just confirms what EVERYONE knew and every Hillary wonk in the MSM denied. Thanks Hil, you gave us Trumpicana!

This does not say what you claim

the judge ASSUMED the palintiff was correct to give them his judgement that it was not illegal.

Harry Ried said shultz was unfair

the judge did NOT make that call

Keep the facts straight

Bernie allowed his people to repeat russian lies about hilary when he KNEW they were lies

bernie USED the democratic party

the funny thing is the same arguments used against sanders now would have been used against trump had he lost. its nice to win lol.
