Diversity Makes Greatness
Hello Dutch,
Life would be no more enjoyable on half of $100 Million than half of $30 Million.
Happiness cannot be bought.
Happiness comes from within.
Once an individual has enough wealth for all the basic needs to be met, perhaps plus just a bit of discretionary spending capability, that individual is as happy as they will ever be regardless of any more money being thrown at the situation.
It may even be the case that more money adds more stress and leads to less happiness.
More money leads to buying more things. More things need taking care of, hiring people to do the work. Therein lies the potential for huge disappointment.
The gardener, the mechanic, the repairman, the lawyer, the accountant, the financial adviser, the painter, the carpenters, the plumber, the pool guy, the auto detailer, the dress maker, the nanny, the maid, the cook, the interior decorator, the architect, the real estate sales rep, landscaper, the dock builders, the yacht mechanic, the yacht detailer, the yacht insurance rep, the captain, the boat life service guy, the fancy car sales rep, the wedding photographer, the airplane mechanic, the pilot, the bodyguard, the yacht club rezoning committee, the country club redesign committee, the house sitter, the dog walker, and on and on and on.
What a freaking hassle!
An individual may actually be happier if they have to just take care of their own life and not have to deal with all of that.
I'm waiting for his wife to leave him and take half his money. He's only worth $30M now. Rush was worth $600M when he choked to death from cancer.
IMO, Mrs. Carlson would be smart to see if Tucker's fortunes go up or down over the next couple years. Half of $100M is better than half of $30M, eh? LOL
