EV's now more expensive in time and money to refuel than ICE vehicles

EV's are heavier because they have large, very heavy batteries in them. If an ICE car was larger and heavier, that was by choice not required by design.

For example, the original Tesla Roadster versus the Lotus Eliese--same exact car except for the drive train has the Lotus weighing in at 1600 lbs. while the Tesla weighs 2800 lbs. (in round numbers). That's a 1200 lbs. increase due entirely to the battery.

It does not matter why. ICEs in many cases are heavier. Have you checked their mileage? Many ICEs were specifically designed to be huge to make trips with heavy loads more comfortable.

Doesn't address that greater weight requires more power to accelerate to and maintain a specific speed. That's basic physics.

I read 70 percent of EVs charging at home use 120. 80 percent of EV owners never use public chargers. 240 is much faster and changing over garages is becoming an industry. DTE provides a list of approved vendors and provides a discount.

And if you have no garage??

EV's also use more power per mile than ICE vehicles because of their much higher weight, often a ton or more over the ICE equivalent.

Also because of losses that occur during the generation of power at a remote location, and transmission line losses, and charger losses, and waste heat from the batteries themselves both when charging and discharging. When you add it all up, an EV requires about twice the power of an equivalent sized gasoline powered car to move the same distance.

Will you buy an EV?

Will you buy an EV?

I won't because I go places where an EV pretty much can't go...

Good luck charging your EV there...

Going to all the fun and interesting places off the beaten path is something you don't and can't do in an EV.

Batteries are improving fast and every wrong claim you make is becoming wronger. They do not use lithium. They are down to 5 min charges. You are so behind.

Lithium-ion batteries use lithium, dumbass. It provides 3861 Ah/kg.
You cannot charge a lithium ion battery pack in an EV from dead to full charge in 5 minutes, dumbass.
