Get ready for the new spin

how many people thought the new laws would allow their insurer to keep them from certain care?

How many knew that would mean their current plan would be obsolete?

your just too simple minded to figure it all out

So the big scare with this thread is that many will get the letter that I mentioned earlier that merely places them in another plan automatically because their old plan is now illegal?

they will be so put out by that letter huh

They will be if the letter required them to pay more. My employee got a letter and it requires me to pay much less. I am happy, she keeps her plan and pays less.

Deshy, I had it all figured out from day one. You are lying. You should be ashamed for lying for this regime

Obama said if you like your plan you can keep it, now millions have lost coverage, they are uninsured.

Here is the proof:

I know but it appears some people want to be bilked.

The young are going to be screwed being forced to have plans and features they don't need, but that is to 'shore up' for the older, less healthy.

The middle class and those with employer provided plans are now finding that their initial apprehensions were well founded, as they are being forced into more expensive premiums with higher deductibles-not their 'old plan.'

Most of all, those 'uninsured' that this was supposed to 'help' and keep out of emergency rooms? Many are being forced onto Medicaid, which is already broken and going broke. Those with enough income to qualify for subsidies, but not medicaid? The deductibles are so high they will not be able to afford Dr., so why pay the premiums?

They did not lose coverage, unless they wanted to lose it, the plan the were on was simply no longer offered, it was replaced by a different plan. When you stretch too far you lose creditability.

Yes what they are trying to trump up here is merely stretch of what is going on

Jarod, you aren't being honest, just spinning. If your premiums were $200 something, now they will be $500 or more and your deductible goes from $1000 to $6k, that is not the 'same.'

I'm happy you have found your saving a small fortune, funny thing is that is not the common experience.

The Fact is that one of the major problems with the old system is that too many people were did not accept personal responsibility and went with substandard insurance or no insurance. This resulted in medical care being more expensive for the insurance companies thus more expensive health insurance for the responsible consumer. Ultimately, after some time the new program, if it works as intended, will take the burden off of Medicaid but its true more people will have to allocate more of there own money to healthcare. One less vacation, or one less trip to the casino should do the trick for many.

Its the government forcing personal responsibility upon people. In this instance I am for it.
