Boris Johnson: the clown is crowned as the country burns in hell

It’s 33C in London, 0.2% of the nation has spoken and a DUDE has lied his way about bananas and condoms to high office
It’s 33C outside in London. You can’t tell whether people are crying or sweating. We can’t do anything until we get a say – which, this time, we did not. So we beat on, against the sun, borne back ceaselessly into hell.

Netherlands and Belgium record highest ever temperatures
All-time records in Germany and Luxembourg could also fall in continent-wide heatwave
The Netherlands and Belgium have recorded their highest ever temperatures as the second extreme heatwave in consecutive months to be linked by scientists to the climate emergency advances across the continent.

Climate change: Current heating 'unparalleled' in 2,000 years
The speed and extent of current global heating exceeds any similar event in the past 2,000 years, researchers say.
They show that famous historic events like the "Little Ice Age" don't compare with the scale of warming seen over the last century.
The research suggests that the current warming rate is higher than any observed previously.
The scientists say it shows many of the arguments used by climate sceptics are no longer valid.

'No doubt left' about scientific consensus on global warming, say experts
Extensive historical data shows recent extreme warming is unprecedented in past 2,000 years
The scientific consensus that humans are causing global warming is likely to have passed 99%, according to the lead author of the most authoritative study on the subject, and could rise further after separate research that clears up some of the remaining doubts.
Three studies published in Nature and Nature Geoscience use extensive historical data to show there has never been a period in the last 2,000 years when temperature changes have been as fast and extensive as in recent decades.
It had previously been thought that similarly dramatic peaks and troughs might have occurred in the past, including in periods dubbed the Little Ice Age and the Medieval Climate Anomaly. But the three studies use reconstructions based on 700 proxy records of temperature change, such as trees, ice and sediment, from all continents that indicate none of these shifts took place in more than half the globe at any one time.

Climate change may have spawned a new killer, antibiotic-resistant bug
US health officials have been warning about new generations of fast-spreading, drug-resistant diseases proliferating thanks to climate change, and it appears they have identified the first candidate.
After first popping up in a Japanese woman’s ear in 2009, Candida auris, a type of yeast, has since become a global health threat, particularly for those with compromised immune systems. Genetically distinct versions of the fungus have sprung up simultaneously in India, South Africa and South America, perplexing researchers in the process.
Researchers caution, however, that climate change alone cannot explain the sudden emergence of such a lethal yeast and were careful to add other possible factors, such as the proliferation of antifungal medication use and the widespread use of fungicides on crops.

Although Deniers are free to mouth their stupidities as a matter of rights- there should be legislation to penalize them if they actually participate in actions detrimental to our environment.
That's the direction we should now take.
Pandemics ? Scary.

UK heatwave: Country braces for hottest day on record
The UK is expecting its hottest day on record on Thursday, with temperatures of up to 39C (102.2F) forecast in southern and eastern England.

Europe heatwave breaks more temperature records
Much of Western Europe is facing record-breaking temperatures again, with the second heatwave in a month set to reach its peak on Thursday.
Germany set a new temperature record, reaching 41.5C (106.7F) in the west.
A red alert was issued in northern France - with Paris temperatures hitting a record-breaking 42.4C.
The UK recorded a record temperature for July of 37.7C and trains were ordered to run more slowly to stop rail tracks buckling in the heat.
The Netherlands also recorded its highest ever temperature, at 39.4C.
"Climate change has increased the likelihood and severity of heatwave episodes across Europe," the UK's national weather service said.
