It didn't.

No. You cannot try to define 'religion' as 'science'. There is no 'method' or 'procedure' in science. It does not use consensus. It does not use peer review. There is no 'elite' voting bloc.
Only religions have this. Only religions try to prove a theory True. Only religions have a 'method' or 'procedure' that must be followed. Only religions and government use consensus. Only religions, and some books and magazines have 'peer review'. Only religions and certain forms of government have 'elite'.
You're such a tedious man!
The scientific method is an empirical method of acquiring knowledge that has characterized the development of science since at least the 17th century. It involves careful observation, applying rigorous skepticism about what is observed, given that cognitive assumptions can distort how one interprets the observation.

Watch it again. There is no method. He is simply describing the concept of falsifiability of any theory of science.
He also touches on nonscientific theories, which are not falsifiable, and can neither be proven True nor False. They are NOT a theory of science. A theory of science MUST be falsifiable.
Listen to that 'flying saucers' bit again. That is an example of a nonscientific theory.
Other nonscientific theories include the Theory of Abiogenesis, the Theory of Creation, the Theory of the Big Bang, the Theory of the Continuum, the Theory of Evolution, etc. The remain a circular argument (the way all theories begin). These are religions, not science. Like any religion, there are fundamentalists (people that try to prove a circular argument either True or False). ALL religions are based on some initial circular argument (also known as the argument of faith), and arguments extending from that. Attempting to prove a circular argument either True or False creates the circular argument fallacy, which is what a fundamentalist does.
Science is NOT religion. A theory of science MUST be falsifiable, that is, testable to try to break the theory. That test must be available, practical to conduct, specific, and produce a specific result. If the theory survives that test, it is automatically a theory of science. It is no longer a circular argument.
This test is also known as the test of the null hypothesis.
Science isn't a scientist or any group of scientists.
Science has no politics. No religion. It does not use consensus. It has no voting bloc.
Science is not a 'method' nor a 'procedure'.
Science isn't even people at all.
Science is a set of falsifiable theories. That's it. That's all.
The purpose of any experiment is to try to break the theory. That's the only valid purpose of any experiment or test of any theory of science.
As long as a theory can survive such tests, it is AUTOMATICALLY a part of the body of science. It needs no vote. It needs no peer review. It need not even be published.
It will remain a theory of science until it is eventually falsified (if ever). No theory can ever be proven True.
Fossil fuel firms among biggest spenders on Google ads that look like search results
One in five ads served on search results for 78 climate-related terms placed by firms with interests in fossil fuels, research finds
The results show that over one in five ads seen in the study – more than 1,600 in total – were placed by companies with significant interests in fossil fuels.
Advertisers pay for their ads to appear on the search engine when a user queries certain terms. The ads are appealing to businesses because they are very similar in appearance to search results: more than half of users in a 2020 survey reported they could not tell the difference between a paid-for listing and a normal Google result.
ExxonMobil, Shell, Aramco, McKinsey, and Goldman Sachs were among the top-20 advertisers on the search terms, while a number of other fossil fuel producers and their financiers also placed ads.

Australia's Great Barrier Reef—the world's largest coral reef—is a unique marine ecosystem threatened by global warming. Damage to the reef could harm the region's biodiversity, tourism, and fisheries.
The reef has suffered eight mass coral bleaching events since 1979, triggered by unusually high water temperatures.2,14,15 If there is enough time between bleaching events, the coral can often recover. However, annual bleaching is expected by mid-century if our heat-trapping emissions continue at their current pace, thus leaving the reef vulnerable to diseases from which it may not recover.2,12,14,17,19
Ocean acidification expected to occur if atmospheric carbon dioxide surpasses 500 parts per million is likely to limit the capacity of the reef to recover from bleaching events, and to cope with other stresses.2
Scientists project a significant loss of biodiversity within a decade, and at worst a 95 percent decrease in the distribution of Great Barrier Reef species by late this century

A Supercharged Climate: Rain Bombs, Flash Flooding and Destruction
The record-breaking and relentless deluge that has flooded towns and cities in Queensland and New South Wales is one of the most extreme disasters in Australian history, and the devastation is wide-ranging. It lasted days and flooded towns, causing tragic loss of life and submerging tens of thousands of homes and businesses.
The new Climate Council report ‘A Supercharged Climate: Rain Bombs, Flash Flooding and Destruction’ explains how climate change is intensifying extreme rainfall and how the frequency of these events is likely to almost double with each degree of further global warming.
For many communities dealing with flood emergencies, this is the latest in a long line of climate change-driven extreme weather events they have faced in recent years, including unprecedented drought, unprecedented Black Summer bushfires, unprecedented powerful storms, and unprecedented scorching heatwaves. It is time for action.
Correction: An error was corrected in this report on Thursday March 10. It now correctly reads: A “rain bomb” hit Brisbane and southeastern Queensland with around 60 percent of the region’s average annual rainfall occurring within three days. Brisbane received almost the same amount of rain in three days than London in the UK typically does over an entire year.
Key findings
1 Climate change is firmly embedded in the 2022 flooding emergency that swept through southeast Queensland and New South Wales with some regions experiencing rainfall that was simply off the charts.
