BB, there is a reason the Declaration Clause exists. This is not a Declaration.

Senators, such as Kerry, will pretend that they were 'fooled' by Bush (Do you remember this in the last election?), that there is no way that they would know that the authorized force would actually be used...

In a Declaration there is no "pretend" they are voting for WAR and nothing else. No "wiggle-room" and it is REQUIRED that they have a 2/3 majority, with the War Powers Act, no such requirement exists. Regardless of the 70+ vote this is NOT a Declaration, it allows wiggle room to pretend that they are retarded.

When congress authorizes military action against another nation this is in fact a declaration of war...y'all have been duped...sorry but thats a fact jack!


Both parties are in on this action as well as most other nations including the Republic of Russia,China and most of Europe...all see the threat that Iran is...what goes on in darkened halls is not that... what most people are allowed to see in public! This is a National as well as world security issue!

a Declaration of war specifically states that one nation is at war with another.

All this did was state that the Republican Guard was a terrorist group. It most certainly does not declare war on Iran.

It is not. What part of the fact that an Authorization is not a Declaration any more than an Agreement is a Treaty is crossing you?

In fact, this vote will authorize an attack on Iran, but Senators who are "anti-war" will pretend that they were too stupid to realize that, and their apologists will all fall into a stupor of their own and vote them in.

Each subsequent "war" since, authorized by that idiotic "War Powers Act" has been progressively more futile, and a worse debacle. Each time people believe their elected officials as they state that they were "fooled" by a fool and that they never would have voted for it, but only after the war becomes "unpopular" enough to the populace. All the way up to that they talk about how great it was that we had done what we had....

Seriously, I hate that we allow this instead of forcing our elected officials to stick to the document the SWEAR TO UPHOLD!

What it does is authorize military action against Irans Revolutionary Guard...which is this countries main government in power! The Revolutionary Guard answers to the Imans which are the actual government of Iran...Almo is a front clown only!

A Declaration of War is clearly outlined in the Constitution, this is NOT a Declaration of war.

The WPA prohibits the President from waging a 'WAR' beyond 60 days-we are now in year 4 of the ME war which includes action against the Revolutionary Guard of Iran!
'After the initial 60 days Congress must give a temporary waiver of the WPA or via a declaration of WAR
