What do you think the "Temporary Waiver" is? It is NOT A DECLARATION.

I am not "wiggling" I am telling you what is, and is not.

This is like saying, "You breathe air", and you saying, "You use your lungs to breathe so you don't need air".

Each "temporary waiver" gives them wiggle room to say idiotic crap like, "I didn't vote to got to war! I only voted it as a blah, blah <John Kerry, HillBilly Clinton used this excuse> becauase HE TRICKED ME!"

A Declaration has no such wiggle room, it is directly stating that our nation is at war with Iran. This does not do that, it is a "temporary waiver".

I totally agree with you. Bush cannot be given anything that could even remotely be construed as authorizing force. Not even a non-binding, non-legal resolution. Another president might be trusted. Not Bush. Hillary is pissing me off too.
 
We cannot physically fight another war, especially one the magnitude of which would be required versus Iran. This administration has already worn thin the US fighting force with a 4 year occupation of Iraq. You do realize also that by declaring the Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization that we are therefore already at war with them because we are at war with Terra where ever terra rears its ugly head. This administration and the members of the Senate will not be satisfied until it has brought about the downfall of the US by overextending our military to the point of collapse,

The American people have no way to stop it, nor any way to control our own government.

Americans are decidely against this war and voted for democrats to bring our troops home .. and we got 30,000 more going to Iraq.

Not only did they authorize this back-door way to bomb the hell out of innocent Iranians, they also just condemned the Iranian President for speaking his mind .. all but 12.

We exist in a plutocracy that kinda smells like a democracy. Israel has more power and influence over the US Congress than Americans do.

Airstrikes, tactical nukes, actively supporting kurdish rebels in iran. Naval blockade, naval and aerial assualts on off shore oil platforms and infrastructure..... There are multiple wet dreams a chickenhawk NeoCon can think up, that doesn't involve a land invasion.

The military will not be over-extended..it's called redeployment!...Iran will be taken down...this is a world wide action..mark my words...Jan 08...will be the start of the end of terrorism!

well i guess we all have our opinions and assumtions.

this war would be half as bad as it is if it wasnt used as poltical tool for the left to get back into the white house...

criticisim is good but only when it is constuctive.

I don't honestly know who makes me more sick: People so drunk on George Bush's semen, that they still defend and makes excuses for this war....or, republicans who supported the war until 8 months ago, and claim to be against it now - but, in five years have never lifted one finger to stop it: not one email to a representative, not one phone call to a senator, demanding they support anti-war efforts to impose deadlines and timetables.
