Homosexuality is not a sin

What is the definition of homosexuality?

Actually, that is the first question folks should ask.

Being homosexual is not a sin, but the bible describes actions that are a sin.

Basically, a man loving a man is not a sin, but a man having sex with a man is... same for a woman. Interestingly, some sexual acts that we think are normal in society would also be a sin. For instance, getting a blowjob is sodomy and it would still be a sin even if it was a man and his wife...lol.

As I said, you can follow that process, see if the Elders still hang by the city gates and are willing to convict your kid... but I would warn you that the laws of this land may make it difficult and your god told you to follow those laws.

You keep saying this, but so far your examples have been easily explained even for someone that doesn't follow the religion.

What I find interesting are the folks that do this while wearing a D jersey and pretend that they are not. This is the basic "mote in the eye" thing that your religion talks about. You want them to do what you want rather than follow the religion as they understand it simply because you think that this particular sin should be discounted like you believe they discount other sins simply because they vote for folks you consider a sinner.

So far, even as someone who is not a Christian, I have been able to explain to you why these folks see these things as sins and why they may still vote for a "sinner", even one they think isn't much of a Christian while all you have done is tell me that they should ignore the parts of their religion that you want them to ignore and find important "sins" that you want them to find important.

You have not explained, your “explanations” do not hold up to the slightest scrutiny. Are you suggesting that if our nation went to legalized white slavery Christians would accept that the Christian thing to do would be to obey their masters?

You are intentionally conflating the “laws of your nation” with what the Bible says you SHOULD do with a rebellious child.

Correct. Same for anal sex between a man and a woman. Some see anything as not being "missionary sex" to be sodomy. It was a 14th Amendment violation, specifically the Equal Protection Clause, which brought down homosexual bans AKA sodomy laws since the states often failed to prosecute heterosexual couples committing sodomy.

Here is another one they ignore while focusing on Homosexuality.

"When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt."

Leviticus 19:33-34 Another OT scripture the homophobic lip-service Christians ignore while hating their neighbors.

I am not conflating, I am explaining. I asked you if the laws of your nation, which Jesus said you should follow, allow you to do that, you did not answer and simply restated the same question.

If the laws of your nation do allow the elders to stone a child you brought before them for being a drunken lazy jerk who didn't change his ways when you told him to, then yes, this would be acceptable according to the religion, if the laws do not allow the elders to stone your child after convicting him of being a drunken lazy jerk who didn't do what you told them to do then your own religion tells you it would not be acceptable, your god told you to follow the laws.

Basically, there is some guy out there arguing we should be able to do this, but they advocate to change the law to allow it... because they understand that their religion does not allow them to do something like this if it is against the law.

In short, you want this to be "okay" per the religion because you think it is awful and you want to tell them their religion tells them to do this. But it doesn't, and I explained why.

Do you believe God is all knowing, all powerful and all merciful? I do.Or do you believe in the Wrathful God of the OT who strikes down people with lightning and wipes out entire nations because they have gays?

I believe he sent his only begotten son to deliver us from sin and I have taken him up on the offer.

You are pretending that the verse I quoted said if the laws of your nation allow it…, That’s not what the verse said. The verse said what should happen if you have a rebellious child.

You would be correct if the verse said, “if it’s legal in your nation…” It does not say that, you are simply pretending it says that so you can make some silly point or so you can be correct, or so you can justify some sort of childhood trauma.

It is not legal in our nation, but that does not change what the Bible says should happen.

Soooo does that mean you don't believe God is all powerful, all knowing and all merciful?

Do you believe Satan is as powerful as God thus making Armageddon a true battle with the outcome unknown, even to God?

No, I am telling you that Jesus simply told you to follow the laws in your nation. I didn't conflate these two things, I stated given information.

This was something that was acceptable according to the religion, until there was a law against it. Why is there an "until"? Because the god of the religion told you to follow the laws of the nation in which you live.

So, if your nation allows this in their laws it would be acceptable to do but if your nation does not allow it in their laws then it would not be because of what your god told you to do.

Are you suggesting that in Nations where practicing Christianity is illegal, Jesus commands you not to practice Christianity?
Are you claiming Jesus says the laws of your nation supersede the laws of Christianity?

Are you saying that in Nations where stoning your kid for being rebellious is legal, Jesus is wants you to have it done?

Your position makes a mockery of Christianity.

So now that abortion is legal, it becomes acceptable for Christians to have one, its no longer a sin?

Are you claiming that verse justified following a Third Reich's laws against Jews,Gypsys, homosexuals, and anyone else they hated?

"Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's"

Murder remains a sin regardless of what Caesar thinks

I am saying that if they say that building a church is illegal, then you would not build a church as a Christian who follows what their god told them to do.

I am saying that if it is allowed in the law you could do it. There is nothing in the scripture that said you "must" do that, that is just something you added because you really want it to be awful. It is also interesting to note that you did not talk about other questions I asked... For instance, when I asked you, "Can you find even one verse in the scripture that this was actually done?"... Why won't you answer? Because you don't like the answer.

Pretending I "mock" Christianity by simply answering your question clearly and concisely is just fallacy.

I am not claiming that. Though it would say that "turn the other cheek" would be the answer from their god if it was Christians being persecuted by the Nazis.

The scripture I quoted says you "SHOULD" do it.

You know that but pretend it says you "could" do it.

Ill give you the part of making a mockery of Christianity, as worshiped by some, it mocks itself.

My entire point is proven, there are parts they ignore and others they do not.
