@Damocles - I've had Dutch-Dutch on "ignore" for about a year now (he's the only one I've ever had on "ignore") for exactly the reason stated by gfm7175. He was filling my notifications and, on the previous board, squeezing out all the legitimate notifications, i.e. all I had was a full queue of crap. On this board, I am simply saved from his crap.

I would note that I reported this problem several times back on the old board and nobody cared enough to give me a response.

I would say that if everyone just put Dutch-Dutch on "ignore," you wouldn't have to make a rule, or you could make a rule that everyone is to put Dutch-Dutch on "ignore" and you wouldn't have to think of wording.

Both work.

For your convenience, if you decide to make a rule, I'll help you with the wording:

Rule XYZ: Generating phony notifications is a DoS attack that prevents users from full use of the notification system. Doing so is strictly prohibited. On the first offense, you will be incarcerated in a Turkish prison for six months. On the second offense, you will assigned to a Siberian salt mining team for two years. On the third offense, you will be transported permanently to the penal colony Fiorina 161.
