our rights are inalienable because we are human. end of story. those that want to believe that rights come from a creator are welcome to do so, but rights aren't given by ANY entity, they just are. that is what makes them fundamental and inalienable. Now, you want to cherry pick about words and if they are not anywhere listed, then they dont exist, but that would absolutely have to mean that 'shall not be infringed' means NO FUCKING INFRINGEMENT AT ALL!!!!! But i'm betting that you like your gun laws and would argue against that.

Actually commie moron, Our founders were, (like the slaves), born into the slavery culture imported here by the fucking British and taught from birth that people of color were less than human and not endowed with certain inalienable rights and women were actually property awarded rights by their husbands and or fathers. Note the Declaration says "all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights."
The American culture changed, (again by revolution), and shed its absurd notions about people of color and women as property. We became a nation accepting the truth that all humans are created equal relative to how they must be treated by governments and their fellow humans and the word "men" in the Declaration is now accepted by the vast, vast majority to identify all humans.
