Poor and stupid usually go hand in hand... And, it's more about their going hungry because their idiot parents (or they themselves) overspent on prepared fast food in preference to cheaper make-it-yourself meals that would have provided more meals for them... Of course, their parents being idiots probably don't know how to make even something simple like mac and cheese from a box.
You really do judge poor people badly. I see why you are a Trumpy. You think the wealthy are smarter and better people. You genuflect to the rich. How sad and judgemental you are.
Don't they give you a credit card with the amount on it? In Michigan, I see green cards used at stores. Do they cut the cards in half?
No,they give you the card and pass code
So honor among thieves? Why would they do that, don't they have to eat?
The solution, of course, is every righty should accompany a person on food stamps and take charge of their shopping. You guys are so superior and they need the touch of your wisdom.
Usually people who sell foodstamps want to sell some to buy beer and cigarettes.
They do not eat? The fact is food stamps provide very little to feed a family. So they will starve their families for beer? Foodstamps cannot cover the cost of cigarettes.
As an additional thought, I think the government should be holding mandatory classes for every person on food stamps that teaches them to prepare a budget, plan a menu, and basic cooking skills, to include both practical (hands on) and written examinations to ensure that they've learned the material. Fail the class, get kicked out of the program.
How about doing that for people who buy a gun? Safety classes and actual use of a gun?
People who get Snap the majority are working poor and the elderly know how to cook healthy food and how to stretch a food budget
People and families that are homeless have a hard time without the facilities to cook
How about doing that for people who buy a gun? Safety classes and actual use of a gun?
They sell the foodstamps for cash $.50 on the dollar to buy beer and cigarettes, then eat at shelters!
Iowa Republicans proposed a bill that would drastically limit what foods SNAP recipients can buy.
People wouldn't be able to buy grocery staples like white bread, American cheese, fresh meat, and more.
Critics argue the bill would further burden low-income people who are already food-insecure.
Iowa Republicans are proposing sweeping changes to the state's food assistance program — including banning beneficiaries from buying grocery staples like meat, American cheese, or flour.

Isn't it the Dems that want to ban meat altogether? So Republicans wanting to ban anyone from buying meat would be something the Dems are promoting.
Then they should have no problem demonstrating it in a class. Once they show they can do those things, they don't have to continue to come, the idiots however do.
As for the homeless, most aren't families, and those that are will still have to figure out how to do that sort of stuff. Invest in an inexpensive camping stove would be one way. I know from camping and being in the military you can cook in the middle of nowhere and it isn't expensive to do.
About $200 for that one and you can use pallet wood for fuel...
As for guns, as I said, that is a Right versus a legal privilege. This one is trickier to make people do stuff with for that reason.
