I'm not so much anti Democrat as I am anti liberal/progressive. I shot rifle competitions along side Democrats (yes, some are quite good marksmen and women) back before this country became as politically divided as it's become today. Hell, I live with a Democrat! She's pro gun, complained about the treatment of Justice Kavanaugh, says the media is at fault for publicizing criminals and other stupid shit, yet voted for Hillary because she was a woman (?). Of course, we very rarely speak politics though (that may be why we've been together for almost 13 yrs.).
Myself, I blame the far left for accusing us conservatives as being racist toward Obama when it was his ideology, not his race that we disagreed with. I believe that's what drove the wedge deeper between us and it seems to be widening. That, and the flagrant ignorance of people like the poster above your reply.

George H. W. Bush tried to accommodate dims (kinder, gentler). Bush II called himself a compassionate conservative. All to no avail. Dims hated both. A Trump was inevitable. And it seems to be working.
