I don’t know if there’s a big conspiracy by the deep state. But it’s pretty obvious to me that leaders of our institutions aren’t above engaging in spying. John Brennan spied on the legislative branch and lied about it to the American people. James Clapper spied on the American people through a domestic surveillance program and lied about it to Congress. Although the Obama administration never tweeted nasty attacks on journalists, it did spy on and prosecute them. It’s completely plausible that those in the upper echelon of law enforcement saw Trump as a threat, then used wobbly evidence as the pretext to investigate his campaign. If not, it’ll be good to clear their names.

We've had all the Birthers, the endless innuendoes Issa created, Solyndra, F+F, the six year BenghaziGate sham, and the Clintons, the Clintons, where would a good conservative be without the Clintons, they alone have generated everything from PizzaGate to Clinton assassinating a campaign worker, all of which many conservatives argued were legitimate

Now, I guess because they control all three branches of the Governmemt, they come up with a "deep state" entity, even though there doesn't seem to be a consensus definition of what exactly is this "deep state." Seems to be kept flexible enough to be applied to any circumstances, here the intelligence community and the President's own Justice Dept.

Said it before, they just have to have that existential threat to understand anything even though reality is not that cut and dry

No such thing as deep state you paranoid children. Fact is that when we were alerted to Russian interference in the American election, we looked and found it. It was a huge operation. The deep state therefore has to be the Right and Trumpys who are desperate to cover up the fact that they worked with Russian hackers from long before the election.

If the gubmint was so worried about da Russians interfering and were only trying to "protect Trump" then why didn't they put an 'Informant/spy" in the Hillary campaign?

There is one substantive point in that article:

In early summer 2016, after receiving warnings from allied intelligence sources about the suspicious activities of some of Trump's associates, Brennan formed an inter-agency group to investigate it. At least one informant was recruited to sound out these people.

As far as I know, that is correct. All the rest is George Neumayr's spin. Surely you can see that?

Now a question for you, noise. If Brennan was so alarmed that Trump might win, and so determined to stop him, why didn't he leak the fact that Trump's campaign was under investigation for suspicious connections to Russian agents?
