He's being sent to california for child porn charges. But he achieved his goal to get brought back from Thailand. He was facing charges there and a considerable prison term there. So he used his knowledge of the ramsey case to get a suspicion on him. They need to have him serve time in Calif and then ship him back to Thailand.

I said this was his plan from the begining. The media is really eating crow over this one. Their big sensational story just fell face first in the mud. That's the best part of the whole thing.

Now they are trying to stir up fear over a tropical storm.
 
Yesterday on the radio a DNA expert lawyer was talking about it. Even if it were not what they would use in court castoff DNA would have more than likely ruled him out. Another thing that would have is finding out he was actually in Atlanta rather than Boulder before you extradited him....

I didn't jump to conclusions about this child predator. I withheld judgement.

I won't jump to conclusions based on rabid media speculation, about a law enforcment officer either.


I'll wait for it to all unfold. I don't trust the media at this point.

Misdemeaner charges, not felony charges. He will not spend much, if any, time for those charges and will be released on the population.
 
I am very glad the Boulder DA investigated throughly into this WHACKO and who he is.

The dude was a fugative for child porn charges and is now, as a result of the Boulder, D.A.'s actions being brought to justice.

Never ever said they "believed a man who has made a fortuine on movies...."

The dude confessed and needed to be fully investigated, if that required bringing him to the USA I am glad they did it!

You can be glad but you are, so far, the only lawyer I know who is defending this person. Even the former lead DA Assistant in Denver is all over her (he is a talk radio host now along with another lawyer also all over her)...

This could have been dealt with better, cheaper, and more responsibly to her position and to the credibility of her office.

I do wish the Boulder D.A. would charge him with giving a false statement to a law enforcement officer and with obstruction of justice.

Of corse the former DA is critical of her. Its called POLITICS!

Not of Boulder. Different city. He was also one of her hugest supporters, right up until he found out yesterday of her gross incompetence in this particular case.

I'm telling you, he was a staunch supporter, until yesterday.
 
The DA never said she "believed" the allegations/confession. They said they were "Investigating" the allegations/confession.

They did the job by investigating and then not going forward with the charges. I think they did the correct thing!
 
I think that the investigation could have been done largely in this man's absense and cost the taxpayer a ton less, with almost no credibility loss of her office. The lead officer on the case (retired now) was talking yesterday how she, over the years of mishandling this case, has almost no credibility with any law enforcement. I'd hate to be a DA with that kind of reputation. I'd also hate to be the people that vote for her...
 
I am glad this case is being investigated and that The kids at the school in Thiland are not going to be further subjected to M. Karr's depravity!
 
They never were (he hadn't the job), and it would have been avoided with a simple call to the authorities to watch him and why.

There was no need to extradite to investigate him. In fact, most of the investigation that ruled him out was done in the first 20 minutes by the press who actually contacted his family and asked questions... unlike this DA.

Man a phone call is a hell of a lot cheaper than a Business class flight, Champagne and Meal... Special cells all for a DNA test that could have been done from Thailand without that cost.

A phone call to tell them his past likely would have had Thailand sending him back to CA because they would have simply kicked him out. Thailand would have picked up that bill....
 
Well I am glad they are taking this all seriously! We do not know the entire story, there was some connection between Karr and Mrs. Ramsey. There is more to the story.

That's what they want you to believe, certainly. However Michael Tracy had over 4 years of contact with him to "groom" him into such. The DA should have known to be more suspicious than this. Especially when presented a "suspect" from Michael Tracy. Who made his living for a while writing books on the intruder theory and making movies falsely accusing other "suspects" who also never panned out.

Taking this seriously did not have to entail this amount of egg on the face. Taking it seriously would have meant investigating it, which could have easily been done without the international circus.
 
ITs the media that blew this out of proportion, not the DA, in my opinion. The DA cant take child murder too seriously!
