Los Angeles now faces at least five large wildfires, including the new Bert Fire in Pasadena and a 30-acre blaze near Sylmar.

The Palisades Fire continues its devastating march, forcing 30,000+ residents to flee.

Evacuations are underway from Malibu to Santa Monica, with flames jumping highways.

Officials warn the worst is yet to come as “tornado-like” winds intensify the crisis.

Los Angeles has declared a state of emergency.


 
Evacuation orders now cover a massive stretch from the Pacific Coast Highway up to the 405 freeway near Calabasas, with parts of Santa Monica also cleared.

In Altadena, nearly half of the city’s 42,000 residents evacuated.

The Los Angeles Fire Department has called all off-duty firefighters to action, a move not seen in 19 years.


 
Over 200,000 customers are without power in Los Angeles as the Palisades Fire rages on.

Internet connectivity has also plummeted in areas impacted by the two wildfires, with some regions largely offline.

Now, a new fire has been spotted near the Sun Valley neighborhood.

LAFD reports the blaze has grown to 50 acres near the 5 & 14 freeways and predicts it could jump the freeway.

Fire crews urgently request additional resources.



 
Firefighting helicopters battling the Palisades and Eaton fires have been grounded due to extreme winds, officials confirmed.

Air operations became impossible after 8 p.m., leaving ground crews to battle the blazes.Residents displaced by the Eaton Fire can seek refuge at Pasadena Convention Center (300 E. Green, Pasadena).

Wind, reaching hurricane strength in some areas continue to hamper firefighting efforts as evacuation zones expand.

A weather station around 9000 feet in Kirkwood, CA (near Lake Tahoe) just recorded a wind gust of 206.2 mph?

The Pacific Palisades fire shows no sign of stopping, as gusts of more than 60mph are causing the blaze to spread rapidly.


 
Californians have to be some of the stupidest people on Earth. For less than $1000 you can get something like this:


And there's about a 95% chance you house doesn't burn to the ground in one of these wildfires.
 
Southern Cal looks looks like one big gravel pit. Never saw the attraction of living there. It's desert, Jim.

Sierra Club? Try the Kalifornia Koastal Kommission or KKK, easily the most radical Leftist bunch of environmental numbskulls and retards on the planet. They damn near make you get a permit to mow your grass.

They can just use their big Congressional delegation to extort FEMA funds and other Federal gimmees, so it's all good as far as they're concerned.

None of the fires are in LA. Los Angeles(LA) is a city within Los Angeles County (LA County). The fires are in and around Pasadena, not LA. A real news source would get that right.
