Someone has to make the coffee, serve it and clean up after. Someone has to have a coffee shop and sell it.
We don't need 'immigrants' to do that. Americans can figure that out (or the people that are ALREADY here). When you see LESS jobs in the Future, why do you want to import MORE people?

Think about it. If more jobs are being automated, that means the need for 'human workers' is being lessened.
I'm in Technology ... we haven't been able to fill enough Jobs for years ...
BTW ... the last 3 people I've hired, where Legal Immigrants who more than exceeded the Job requirement in Education and Skill.
One was from Paru
Another from India
Another from West Indies
The one who interview best gets the Job
Lots of American kids out there with Degrees, Student Debt, and No Job.
Can you see by your statement above why Americans are becoming more 'nationalistic' rather than 'globalists'?
The 'average American Worker' sees 'immigrants' getting the jobs ... and votes for Trump.

Then they need to get off their fucking ass and start applying for those Jobs ... I'm not going go knock on their Door to get them off their Couch.

I always like "Americans won't do that kind of work". That's the standard ingrained response we all expect for the menial jobs.
I guess "lazy, entitled, couch potatoes, that won't get off their asses" will also work. Does have a catchy ring to it.
We are becoming a Nation of 'Working Immigrants' ... and 'Unemployed/Underemployed Americans'.
I wonder if a smart Politician could work this in his favor?

degrees in what? MBA, business? while other countries are focuing on math and science , STEM programs
That is a Myth that Immigrates will work for less money ... (not if you're qualified and skilled in Software Development)
Think about it, when you go to the Doctor or you need an Attorney ... is the cheapest person you get is the Best?
I just had my Driveway pavered last year ... out of the 6 estimates ... the BEST was a Mexican Company who did the BEST work.

I can see a 'Brain-Drain' from other countries occurring.
I'm just making an observation. If American Workers vote, I have a hard time seeing them vote for 'immigration' that threatens their ability to get jobs. Whether it's a paving job or a tech job, they're going to vote what's best for their economic interest.
We're all sitting around here laughing at Trump and what an idiot he is, ... but if he gets re-elected in 2020 (assuming he doesn't quit) the 'nationalist' policy he's running on could be the reason. (?)
I don’t know if people are going to continue to believe his “nationalist” line if his tariffs keep taking a bite out of their livliehood. The countries he has penalized are focusing their tariffs on his supporters.
I'm 55, I've NEVER had my Job taken by an Illegal or Legal Immigrants
... so I would suggest that those people who think their Jobs are being taken by Immigrants, step up their game.
