You have some of that correct but the real reason blm exists is the fact they extort millions from large corporations that are afraid of offending them. Oddly enough, it is that very same group that repeatedly loots and then sets fire to those very establishments.
Be woke, go broke.
So being aware of the social injustice is a sure loser?
The racists don't want us to discuss injustice. It's "race-baiting" and "hate," according to them. That's why they summoned the non-existent CRT demon. Discussing race, injustice, etc. is mean to white ppl and is just causing racism, not subduing it. See the posts on the last two pages for more details.
Hello ThatOwlWoman,
It's a very funny thing. The right and the left have completely different connotations of woke.
The left is proud to be woke, because the left understands the term as it is defined. Awareness of racial issues is a good thing.
The right is trying to turn it into something else, based on misinformation and their own racism.
Only racists don't want racial issues to be taught in schools.
They don't want their kids coming home asking difficult questions.
They like their white privilege just the way it is. Don't mess with their white privilege!
The LAST thing they want is for people to be educated about it.
The right prefers stupidity and ignorance.
Mine, all mine...
So what proof of this nonsense do you have, Lion? Links?
Exactly. We're not even supposed to discuss privilege because it's racist to white ppl.
Have you also noticed how the Reichwingers can find a single person of color who will agree with their bigoted stance on racial issues, and use them to claim that that person represents how *all* people of color feel? It's only the (D)s who are stirring up racial tensions.

While hardly some "Reichwinger," I'd be more than happy to discuss privilege and race from the perspective of the Left using the books, videos, and other published stuff those on the Left have put out about it. I don't know if you've bothered to actually read any of the stuff the Left publishes on this subject, but I can tell you you're in for a brutal pounding if you take your position from it.
The reason for that is the Leftist stuff is a mix of puerile academic quackery, pseudoscience, and conspiracy theory. Take for example, Picca and Feagin's Two-Faced Racism: Whites in the Backstage and Frontstage. It is supposed to be an academic work. But if you look at it critically (as opposed to using quack pseudo-critical methodology like Critical Pedagogy where you look at it dogmatically and politically) it is nothing but a shlock piece of rubbish put out by liberal arts majors who's statistical methodology would have gotten them an F in a freshman statistics class.
For the uncritical Leftist though, such a work confirms their own preexisting bias as it hews the dogma and politics of the Left closely.
So, let's have that discussion on privilege.
Let's start with this piece of work, Tim Wise. He's a leading lecturer on White Privilege. He's written a number of books on it too. He regularly lectures in academic settings at universities even though he has zero academic credentials...
Sorry, but I do not form my opinions from obscure sources like the ones you're trying to drag into the discussion. I form them from my own observations of the disparity between how people are treated, depending upon their appearance. I form them from the actual experiences that I and people in my family and circle have had. I form them from news events.
Guess what? Just about everyone else on the left does the same thing. It's only you hysterical RW ninnies who see a sinister evil racist-against-the-dominant-culture-in-the-U.S. plot everywhere. The proof is in how hard to had to dig to find these ppl no one but you and your "sources" have heard of.
My sources are dominant ones in Leftist academics at universities. They are the ones that Leftist professors and academics regularly use in their classes to indoctrinate and propagandize students into Leftist dogma and thinking.
Unlike your use of personal anecdote that means little, the stuff I'm bringing up is common and invasive within academia and public education today. I first started looking at it back in the early 2000's when the Tucson Unified School District started Leftist indoctrination classes in several of their high schools under what was then called the "Raza Studies" program. They brought in people like Tim Wise to lecture the teachers in the program, among other things.
On the Left and radical Left in academia there is an an evil racist against the dominant culture plot going on. You can find hundreds of professors and academics who all but openly--or even openly--admit it too. You just have to look.
