How did they break the law or change the law? It appears to me they were simply upholding their current laws. Did I read it wrong? What did I miss? What law was broken?

It says voting changes, not laws. I guess that's what you missed. I further guess that a massive voting lists purge of mostly black Southerners, would qualify as one of those "voting changes".

It just gave me a bad feeling about having my children's fingerprints on file and their having no say-so in the matter. I thought about their rights after the fact and acted on fear. Isn't that how rights always get taken away?

it would be for their protection as well as yours the parent..God Forbid some monster would kidknap them or worse..and identity would be the difference between finding them and prosectuting the monster!

1) Of course ANY list from New Orleans is going to be predominantly black. The City in its entirety is predominantly black. The lower lying areas that were hardest hit are predominantly black.

2) These voters registered in other states. The plantifs in the case listed are currently living in another state and have registered there to vote.

3) Purging the voters as required by their state law does not seem to me to be a change in voting. They are following procedure. In fact it appears they are going out of their way to try to eliminate making mistakes on who they purge.

Really, is that how it appears to you? Well, that's proof right there that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, because I see a very different appearance here.

These voters were displaced, of course they registered in another state, but they have every right to vote in LA if they are going back there, or, can't get back there, being, you know, displaced, and choose to vote there anyway, where their displaced voice can have a say. The idea that more than 1 percent of these voters would vote twice is ludicrous, and the cure does more harm than the orginal harm.

Either way, because the South has historically repressed, depressed, and flat out denied, the black vote, they have to get Federal approval. Sorry they have deemed that to be too much trouble, but it's the law. And you might want to cry because they have to follow the law, but I have no problem with it.

except I have nothing to hide...so I would decline a chip under my skin...and they could talk to me one on one or fingure print me or hell even follow me wherever I go...no biggee...I just would not like the pain associated with a non necessary implant...Twit!!!

blah-blah-blah...this is the best you have...sorry I keep myself and family quite safe...I just don't fear our government...I have absolutely nothing to hide...and like damo and super said...I have also been investigated and fingure printed more than most criminals...however I still live a free and unencumbered life...do you Missy?
