You can own a tommy gun. Some people do. This WW1 era gun is considered quite a collectable weapon. Oh...and it's legal to own any automatic weapon. I have several RPG's. I also build them. They are used for display purposes in my case. You can own a ton of cocaine. You can even own and operate a cat house. Even the federal government did in Nevada for a while. Like anything else they touch, it couldn't make a profit any longer and went out of business. Others have opened up in it's place that are privately owned. Slavery is not legal in the United States. See the Constitution.
