MSNBC Host To Rick Santorum: What Are You Doing About ‘White Men With Guns’?

Why are penitentiaries mostly black and mexican?

The judicial system is heavily weighted in favor of those who have costly representation. Blacks often can't afford a six figure lawyer. An educated person would know this about our system and how it is the poor who often go to prison for things the wealthy get off for doing. Remember the teen who was too rich to go to prison according to the judge.

Its YOU and your friends on MSNBC that insisted the focus be on WHITE GUYS WITH GUNS, when in fact, wgwg's are not near as big a problem as black guys with guns....
You belly-ache when your own stats were 254 deaths over 15 years for white guys and then completely ignore that black guys with guns are killing about 2000 a
year in one city alone....thats how phony your complaint is....
We didn't focus on race, YOU DID, we only pointed out your own hypocrisy .... and it was right in character for you to play the race card....

organized crime , motorcycle gang , and white supremacist violence are in fact minimal in relation to the subject of violence.

Christians make up about 75% of the US population, so you could say Christians are the source of violence in the US....that is mis-leading as all hell but probably true and it
includes all races.....mis- leading because religion has nothing to do with most of the violence.

I'm sure there are white gangs all over the US....how many murders are they responsible for compared to their counterparts....
I sure Christian terrorists exist, how many innocent deaths are they responsible for compared to Muslims ?
There certainly are male prostitutes around, how many are there compared to their counterparts....?

so some comparisons have some validity and make a point, some are just nonsense to deflect and confuse ......

And again you're making my points for me.

1. MSNBC didn't say the focus should be on WGWG, but that it shouldn't be ignored in favor of profiling other groups.

2. The stats weren't saying that only 254 white guys were killed in 15 years, it was about the number killed in extremist attacks by white men v. those killed by Muslims. Blacks had nothing to do with this yet for some reason you saw fit to bring it up. "Since 9/11, fatalities from attacks by right-wing extremists — a group of almost exclusively white men — has accounted for 254 fatalities. Meanwhile, Islam-inspired attacks accounted for 50 fatalities over the same period."

3. No matter how many attacks are attributable to Christians, their religion is rarely mentioned as opposed to Muslim attacks. Why? Why not say Arab attacks or African attacks or Indonesian attacks? How about attacks by gender?

4. White gangs have been responsible for thousands of deaths over the years. Google the stats.

You're trying to make excuses for why white guys aren't given the same level of scrutiny as Muslims and blacks and it's pretty easy to see through.

WHAT IS THE POINT? Why do you guys focus on black violence only?

for the very simple reason that liberals insist on ignoring it.....the number one cause of homicide death by guns in America is NOT the existence of guns.......it is black gang violence.......the only factor that liberals will even discuss in dealing with homicide death by guns in America is the existence of guns.....why do you refuse to focus on it?.......

What is your solution to the problem?

I've never seen you post on organized crime violence, motorcycle gang violence, white supremacist violence, white violence in general, but you and others like you absolutely slobber over black and Muslim violence. And then you have the nerve to criticize me? You guys are hypocrites with an agenda, plain and simple. Own it.

absolutely slobbering?......one thread in which you ran away shouting I was a racist and you claim I am absolutely slobbering?.......slack jawed liberal hack that you are, that is still an exaggeration.......true....I have no threads about organized crime......not sure if the Mafia even exists anymore, but I freely admit I have not started any threads about it......motor cycle gang violence?.....as I recall I complained about those who thought the thugs who shot each other up at that restaurant this summer weren't getting treated fairly, saying that idiots who killed each other had no business complaining.........white supremacist violence?.....am I not always the first to complain when some idiot like Zappy tries to pretend a white supremacist is acting in a Christian manner?......

Let's see, some of the cons here told me if I didn't start a thread on something it meant I was ignoring it. I wonder if those cons will now say the same to you?

I think that when it comes to many black communities it's the lack of a strong mother and father figure, the prospect of poverty and a lack of opportunity after high school, and probably a feeling of being trapped that makes young black kids cast out in desperation to evil things like gangs. They don't want to struggle, they don't want to be alone, and so they sortof sell their soul for the possibility of money, power, and friends through a gang. I wish I knew how to fix it or how long it would take but like with anybody if you dont see anything positive in your future then you will usually end up giving up on goals and hard work in favor of something easier even if it traps you in. I'm sure in alot of their minds its a good trade off to risk their safety or freedom if caught by police in order to not have to continue their old life and its probably a good trade off than to focus solely on school and doing the right thing but its probably not that easy. It IS possible to leave that situation though as many professional athletes and celebrities can speak to but it takes persistence and courage to take the hard road. That's my opinion but my opinion is based on what I see and read since im not black and I havent grown up in their shoes. Black on black violence is a problem though and black leaders should be doing a better job of showing them better ways out of their situation, and white people need to also help by getting involved in any way they can to bridge culture gaps.

You absolutely nailed the economic factor, Norah. And I agree with the part about families also.

I just wish the cons here would give specifics on how to address the problems they're complaining about.
