So the republican candidates don't want to deabte an audiance whose anti republican positions have always been very loud and very clear? Does anyonme recall the comments made about republicans by NAACP leaders?

As to wanting restrictions on illegal immigrants who doesn't?

True. To tell you the truth, my mother dated this black guy, and he was a crackhead, and the cops came one day and took him away while we were staying over. Later on, my mom found out that she had several thousand dollars missing from her bank account (he spent it all on crack in the span of about 3 days). My whole experience in the city with that person was entirely shit, and all the black people would treat me like shit. Sheesh. I dunno, since that time it's always taken me a lot longer to get to know any black person. Maybe Black is right.

I can see how a Republican wouldn't want to waste time on the campaign trail with a constituency that's going to vote 90% against them anyway. But, honestly, with that king of attitude they're ALWAYS going to have black voters voting 90% against them, and I wouldn't blame em either.

Water, you are describing a traumatic experience and I'm sorry. But he could have been any color. You're young, you'll move past that view. My cousin married a white crack addict who, and this is after he kicked the crack habit, hit on her niece. You know, I don't hold it against white men.

If you feel that black people are treating you like shit, maybe it's something you're putting out there.

The NAACP maintains tax exempt status because they claim to be bi-partisan. Their public attacks against the GOP proves otherwise. Campaigns are expensive. Avoiding a sharply partisan venue seems smart. The black conservative movemnet in america continues to grow. This said, the democrats have maintianed the majority of the black vote so that the republicans have lost nothing by not attending.

I haven't read all the way through, but I'm sure someone has touched on the fact that republicans will continue to not get the black vote as they keep this stuff up. I would be slightly offended however I'm quickly reminded that if they actually did show some interest in our community, they may continue to get elected in future years.

This is actually an example of your own internal bigotries.

If you grow up and learn bigotry, you will be always looking for examples to reinforce that bigotry no matter how isolated, anamolous, or unrepresentative it is. This is the nature of bigotry. A bigot picks out one anomolous example involving a minority, and extrapolates it to the whole group of people.

Plenty of white people have screwed me over through my life. I never extrapolate those actions to the white race. And I try my best, not to do the same thing with other demographic groups.

Why was your mom dating a crack head in the first place? Of course he stole. that's what crackheads do whether they are black, white, latino, asian, etc. They steal, sell their children, are violent and don't care about themselves one bit. if you think its a black and white thing you're in for a treat when you get older.

This whole thread is nothing more than pulling the old and worn race card...nothing more! And you are correct there is a movement of minority conservatives on the march...they go on self improvement rather than beating the race card drums!:cool:

Yes, yes, Darla. I know I'm wrong. It's not a signifigant part of my personality, anyway, but I'm sad to admit that it probably does effect me.
