Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

Lets see, He didn't invade 2 countries and kill hundreds of thousands of muslims in the name of revenge. He did promise to leave Iraq by a said time which I believe he will be strong armed/bought out of.
As far as leaving Vietnam ahh Afghanistan who the fuck knows other than he's appeasing the chickenhawk fence sitters????

so IOW....he is following what bush did...thanks for that....

yes as Obama's approval ratings rise Nazi still hang on Juvenille phrasing. I can't wait till he wupps that ass again in 3 yrs.

CNN.com's headline even says it, "Unlike his predecessors, Obama was chosen not for substantive accomplishments, but for inspiring "hope" at the start of his term".

That's all people have said here froggie, including some on the left. To state that is not to hate Obama.

The Peace Prize Committee have now reduced the necessary qualifications to just making a good speech.

WAY TO GO!!

Maybe or maybe your biased. Maybe a very large part of the world detested the direction Bush and the Neocons led the most powerful nation in the world and Obama's winning the election and leading America away from Imperial unilaterlism is percieved as being a far greater acheivement then you are willing to give him credit for.

Just think, that if instead of playing partisan politics with 9-11 and using it as an excuse to increase US hegemony in oil producing Iraq what if Bush had taken the oppurtunity to defeat the Taliban and rebuild Afghanistans devastated infrastructure. If instead of focusing on killing Iraqi's Bush had built roads, schools, hospitals, public sanitation and water works, irrigation systems and so on, maybe he would now be a Nobel Laurette?

Then you admit that this was given; because he wasn't President Bush.
Thanks

If he does nuthing as president, he removed Bush and those who support the illresponsable use of American power to murder innocents, enough to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

I did't realize that Mr. Bush was running for a third term.
AND NO, you can't backpedal and claim that you really meant McCain. :chesh:

Maybe he is being humble and maybe, like I said, you're not giving credit where it's due. Defeating a dangerous and far right wing political party from office in the most powerful nation on earth is an accomplishment your just not willing to give it's due.

Then why didn't they award it to those who voted for Obama??

yet the far right got tossed out in bulk in 2006, when Dems retook control of both Houses of Congress.

The White House crew was gone either way.
Not completely. Dems didn't really gain legislative control of the Senate until this year but for the most part your point is correct. Though my point is valid too. Had McCain been elected then a very strong far right and/or neocon faction would have had an influential position in the administrative branch of our government.
