Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

Giving Obama the Nobel is completely ridiculous and hurts the Nobel, but I always forget that the silver lining to these things is getting to watch the right implode...
I actually agree with the first statement. But using it as a joke generator is far from "imploding"...

It is if you view Bush's version of republicanism like NAZI lite which is what the world does. 7 more years baby

He replaced an incredibly dangerous and incompetent man and his equaly dangerous party as POTUS against the odds. A staggering acheivement for peace by any measure.

amazing how many of the Obama apologists have immediately clung tightly to your point.

But here is a little tidbit.... Bush was gone... regardless of whether Obama won.

The Reps were out of power in Congress in 2006.

So your point has now diminished back to nothing... good try though... at least it was a valid attempt to justify this farce.

Main point.... when Obama himself said he didn't deserve it... perhaps his worshippers should listen to their dear leader?

LMAO.....bush was constitutionally unqualified to run for a 3rd term....good lord, you blind followers are now giving obama the credit for the 22nd amendment.....lol

and so far....obama is doing what mccain said he would do with the wars....so in reality, obama has done absolutely nothing

True, I sould have said, unseat those who supported Bush's policies.

When you read through the posts (should you choose to do so) you will note there isn't 'hate'... except that displayed by Toppy (calling people Nazis) and Cypress (with his normal hate/anger).

You will also notice that even those on the left are questioning WHY he won an award for doing nothing. Oncelor, BAC, Mott etc...

But once again thanks for pretending that opposition/criticism of Saint Obama must of course be about hate or racism blah blah blah...

What took you so long?

Maybe he is being humble and maybe, like I said, you're not giving credit where it's due. Defeating a dangerous and far right wing political party from office in the most powerful nation on earth is an accomplishment your just not willing to give it's due.

McCain is hardly far right.....

Obama said he did not deserve it? Where is the quote? Where is such a cite? Did you just make that up? And is he the authority on if he deserved it or not?

thats just silly....are you saying he single handedly took the repubs out of power....lol....he didn't do a damn thing except be somebody who wasn't bush...look at close the votes were among dems, 50/50 between him and hillary....

and really, that accomplishment was the voters, not obama
I didn't say that. You're putting words in my mouth. However, if someone other than BHO had organized and lead a political coalition that replaced the dangerous far right neocon coalition in power, then wouldn't they too be worthy of consideration of a Nobel Peace Prize?

The only one that has imploded thus far is froggie... though Toppy, Jarod and the little leg humper aren't far behind....

I suspect that noone who has ever won the Nobel ever did it single handedly!

Sure; because that's how most on the right are reacting to it...
Well, I can only base it by the reaction here and the "Obama Wins" thread, but yeah. So far all I've heard, even in person here at work, are jokes about him and Chuck Norris winning things, and others simply pointing out that he really should accomplish something before he gets that nomination, let alone the prize. All of the anger and cursing and gnashing of teeth seems to be coming from the left who want to spin into a reason he should have received this accolade.

Personally, I think he just may deserve it later in his Presidency, but there was nothing done in those 9 days before nomination that makes me say, "Well, yeah, he deserved it over that dude who builds schools for which he becomes a target of assassination..."
