You idiots really don't get it. The right/Reps are not pissed or angry. Even people on the left are mocking this decision. It shows what a farce the "award" is.

It's okay. They don't have to "get it," it only reinforces the diagnosis of enhanced partisan induced myopia leading to blindness.

These are critical times my wise sister. There are many, myself included who are tired of symbolism. From my perspective, peace is more critical than symbolism or patriotism. The prize should go to people who are actually putting their lives at risk for peace. I'm anxious to see who Obama beat out for the prize.

The reason this thread and all the airwaves are so lit up with this is because everybody was stunned by it. The two words that I'm betting have followed news of his winning the Nobel Peace Prize are, "for what?"

I'm all for rooting for the home team .. when deserved. Anything else would make me feel like a hypocrite.

They have been showing the particular speech which impressed the committee! His speeches were an inspiration!

I think Obama saying it's a 'call to action' is his way of saying he knows he hasn't done anything YET to deserve it. Doesn't mean he won't do something Nobel prize worthy in the future.
