More then one state gets power from Canada , in fact there are MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of Americans that get their power from Canada , and as I said It would get their attention , it may cost the people that buy power from Canada billions if not a trillion or so in lack of work , food going bad , plants shutting down, stores closing and more.
NO it would not only get their attention but IF the Canadians tell these people it is all because of what Trump is doing and to have them go after Trump to stop his BS it might also get trumps attention.

Maybe you should I will see if I still have it bookmarked.
For one thing the EPA told the Trans Canada pipe line company that IF they would run the new line next to the old one they already have running to the gulf they would okay it , the company said no, so instead of letting a pipeline company that has a very very bad satiety record ( many many leaks ) build a pipeline over , and very near aquifers that millions of Americans need to get their fresh drinking water they said no.
And for another thing it would have only put something like 3 or 4 hundred people to work for a year or two , ( I know they were jobs we could have used ) there was only going to be a couple of dozen permanent workers most of them watching the line for leaks.
I guess you think it is more important to make sure China has a good supply of tar sand oil to make their plastic parts to import here then Americans having a safe dependable water supply.
We use very little of it to make plastics here and we do not use it to make our gas, so the lie the right put out that stopping it would hurt our gas supply was that just another one of their lies.
No for the health and having a safe water supply for those millions of people was more important to the EPA then China's plastic industry.

Well a lot of the Ford workers I know are NOT happy with Trump and his BS and are very sorry they voted for him.
Loosing thousands of dollars in profit sharing woke them up.
But they got what they wanted and now that it is coming back to bite them in the ass it is too late to go back and too bad.

I heard that Trans Canada got tired of the changing attitudes toward the project, and the myriad legal challenges. I believe they finally created a pipeline to the Pacific so that China can take that crap. Which is what should have happened in the beginning.
