They ruled separate but equal, they ruled blacks as property, they ruled in favor of Japanese internment. Why should I trust that the USSC wouldn't do the same here?
 
I have ZERO problem with photo ID for voting, as long as the government provides the photo ID to every registered voter free of charge. Otherwise, it's a poll tax imo.
 
I never railed against it. Give every voter a free photo ID and then and only then require photo IDs for voting. I've got no problem with that whatsoever.

is this how liberals think the world runs? simply redefine things when they need to? a 'loophole' is not a planned for pathway. that is an intentional exemption. A real 'loophole' example would be finding a way around the machine gun ban by creating a trust, then having the trust buy your machine guns. Since trusts are not specifically prohibited by law, it's completely legal. THAT is a loophole.

The same USSC that ruled 'public benefit' is the same as 'public use' which allows the government to steal private property and give it to a corporation to increase a tax base? no, there's no faith in the USSC ruling on the constitution.

911....that's what almost all of us were saying....your side was trying to rush it through thinking that because of the small window of time, that many poor folk wouldn't be able to get an ID in time and your boys would win big.

Now that there's two years till the next election, there's plenty of time for people to get a FREE ID.....and guess what? You hear nothing in the right wing media about it anymore.....coincidence?

Most people have had YEARS/DECADES to acquire an ID, which is needed to have a bank account, cash checks, apply for Government assistance, etc; but liberals have stated that it's a plot to stop poor people from voting.

It would be really funny if poor/welfare people couldn't afford the gas to get to the polls.

Maybe that would bring down gas prices.

Here's your problem. I am not a Marxist, never read a single page of his writings.

Background checks to keep murderers, felons and wife beaters from having a safe, secure avenue to buy their weapons of death is a true NO brainer. Over 90% of the populace supports background checks on all gun sales. Even over 75% of NRA members support support universal background checks for gun sales.

So that put YOU in a very small minority of ultra extremists. But take solace, I am sure your comrade Timmy would be standing with you, if he were still alive...

so because they still might have the opportunity, we should, therefore, not worry about even making it difficult for them? If you believe that, then why even have background checks for ANYBODY? Why not just sell assault rifles at 7-Elevens and grocery stores and let anybody with the cash just buy as many as they want?
