And you illustrate the fallout of the disillusioned Bushies that can't figure out where they fit in now.
You are correct in many aspects of your paranoia AHZ. However I do not believe in the great conspiracy idea of yours. There a multitudes of conspireacies going on , but no one great one.
One unfortuante effect of globalization is that our standard of living will go down, it is inevitable and cannot be stopped only limited somewhat by wise actions.
To accept and understand what is going on, is in you eyes to endorse some NWO bunch. bull crap!
I take my actions on a personal level to ensure my own continued survival.
I have farmland to grow food and fuel on. I am working up a nice pot of money which I am converting much of to precius metals. I am a suvivor, but not to be confused with survivalist nuts.
I also buy local stuff when I can. vote for the ones I think will move in the direction I think is right. Treat those around me like they deserve, etc...
Hopefully wisdom will come to you in time asshopper.
Check it out.
In reality, it's corrupt as hell. And this dissuades economic development. Political forces also create poverty. For instance, the lack of political will to clean up corruption, keeps the economy depressed.
Corruption happens everywhere, Tony Blair's government has been involved in corruption (the Bae deal, Cash for Peerages, the Bernie Ecclestone affair). It hasn't kept our economy depressed.
But what is good for business is not always good for people. Business should occur inside a moral context, just like all other aspects of life. The truth is, it is good for business to have third world countries kept in the manner they are, so they can provide cheap labour to undercut the union-riddled workers of the first world. The reason supermarkets can sell jeans at £3 a pair is because of third world countries like Mexico.
And they have also served to protect standards of living, and stop influxes of refugees which the nation cannot or is unwilling to sustain.I'm not anti capitalist, I just believe that some labor market protection is one of the benefits of living in a sovereign nation, and a historical benefit of an enforced border.
Adam Smith would be rolling in his grave! Labour market protection is as anti-capitalist as protectionist tarriffs. The historical basis of enforced borders is to demark between one fiefdom and another....
Neocons are also laissez-faire capitalists. Nations have the right to, and can say no to deals which harm the people or are detrimental in the long term.So now, you're a neocon, now that you realize their "market is all" mantra is the path to the destruction of america?
No, I think taking the mantra 'market is all' is just as damaging as you and I'm no neo-con. A neo-con is someone who believes in the forced export of western 'standards' across the globe, the 'markets are all' people are laissez faire capitalists.
this is all a plan to reduce america to a third world nation, with all the shittiness and hegemonic fascism that implies.
And whose plan is this? Are the conspirators American, because if they are it hardly seems to be to an American's benefit to reduce the US to a third world country?
And being a third world country doesn't lead to hegemonic fascism. Italy wasn't drawn into fascism through being a third world country....
this is not an effective argument. There is corruption everywhere, but in some places it is worse. Put away your idiot broadstroke brush.
ROFLMAO! This from the Generalisation-King?
This is not an effective argument. But what is good for business is not always good for people. Business should occur inside a moral context, just like all other aspects of life.
Anti-capitalist! Burn him!

Neo-cons' prime motivation is the spread (through force if necessary) of liberal democracy. I am not aware of any that subscribe to laissez faire. Even the most ardent capitalists on this board wouldn't really be described as LF capitalists.
Many of them are. And they don't CARE about others. They're selfish. They're selling out their own countrymen for what they perceive as a stronger position in the new world order.
Its not a matter of caring for others. If Americans make America a third world country it limits their own capacity for doing what they want. American consumerism is what makes many of these people wealthy... turning the US into Zimbabwe with cowboy hats isn't going to help their wealth.
No. It is malignant design. If you go study globalist literature it specifically says the us is to build the globalist system, and subjugate itself in the process. Educate yourself, you ignorant toad.If anything will bring the US down it will be political and business incompetence, not malignant design.
Fascism is when the social and corporate elites also control the government and form a monolithic hegemonic power, setting policy to stengthen and consolidate their power, and screwing the little guy.
No, that is an oligarchy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oligarchy Fascism is the authoritarian nationalist amalgamation of state and capitalism for the promotion of the nationalist ideal. People often misuse the term, as demonstrated by the number of Islamo-fascist / Christo-fascist thread on these boards.
Nice quote. Too bad it doesn't fit.a famous quote:
This is one of the most basic tactics of the anti-intellectual and reactionary: deliberate conflation of dissimilar problems in order to provoke violent emotional responses. Rabble rousing, in other words.
AHZ is still stuck in the this or that mentality with no other options possible. Still a NEO, sigh....
Ahh projectionism as well another NEO trait....
Yeah I used to ride a cycle and ate a few bugs. I am also not ashamed to admit to pissing myself a couple of times in Nam. Darned embaressing at the time, and you have to just go on like it did not happen....Sad that they don't call potty breaks during a war. Perhaps all the militaries of the world need to unionize
Wow. What a boring story.
AHZ, have you recently read 1984 or something?
