He did not go begging to Saudi Arabia for anything. He went there to discuss the suez canal, irans nuclear program, working to get some sort of peace plan in yemen and civil rights. He didn't go there to discuss oil and certainly not to buy the shit.

So fucking what. We are now pumping more out of the ground than we ever have and we will soon shatter records for production but that really is not going to be Bidens doing either. When oil approaches $100 barrel we are going pump it right here at home, when it's dirt cheap we are going to buy it abroad. Whether we import more or export more in a given year does not say anything about our energy independence.

If oil companies were smart when oil was $30 a barrel they would save theirs/ours in the ground and buy someone else's and when it's expensive is when they drill here. Gee, that's just what the fuck they do.
